They tried saying i owed them money and threatened me with a warrant for my arrest unless i send money today

So what happened cause I just received the same call threating the sAme action but he stated he was not a debt collector and not an attorneys office he said he worked for a company called hagood something and that he wouldn't give me his address or anything the local sheriffs office told me it sounded like a scam. I asked for verification and or proof of debt and he said they don't have to provide proof.

Called my job and spoke very rudely to the receptionist who turned them over to my director since I was out that day.  Told him there was a warrant out for my arrest due to bank fraud and the defendant was Bank of America.  I received a call from my director and I called them directly.  Bottom  line I sent them $500 the next day using a green.dot card because my credit card did not work for them and another $279 on 9/30 to close out the case but only receive a receipt for the $500.  Never received the final receipt for the last payment or their letter of restitution which I was suppose to receive.  My contacts were a Mr. Steele and Ms. Gordon who took the money.  Also, left a message for a Bobby Westbrook inquiring about my receipt and letter.

These are SCAM artists.  DON'T SEND MONEY.  People who do online payday loans have their information sold.  These [***] who buy the information call the supposed debtor and all the people they list as contact people.  Problem is, there IS NO DEBT.  They are trying to scare you into paying.  Called from Louisville, KY.

I recieved a call as well sayin i passed a bad check which i know i didnt do. All the info they gave me was old but correct told me i had so long to send money or a warrent b issued for my arrest. This just happened to me. I dont think its legit now readin what i have here. Im glad i came on line and checked it out like i was told by someone who truely cares bout me.

I received a call from a Samantha threatening that I had a warrant out for my arrest and that I had to pay a total of 900.00 by the same day or else my case was going to the state attorney office for my arrest. She had the correct old information for me too but wrong DOB.  I asked her where was she from she said the state of Ohio, however the phone number is a land line in the state of Louisville, Kentucky. The caller ID states a Marvin wade who owns this phone line.  THIS PEOPLE ARE SCAMS PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY.......This is their 9 to 5 job......

Tried to verify some old info. Stated I owed a payday loan to ACE Cash Express from 6/2011. The last time I took out a payday loan was in 2009. I started to call her bluff and was threatened with two lawsuits - for forging an instrument and defrauding a financial institution. I knew then it was a scam. After she abruptly hung up on me I called ACE and spoke to a CSR and also the collections department. Neither department had any record of me or of my account being placed in collections. Total Scam. Do Not Pay these people without verifying that you owe who they say you owe.

A woman by the name of Ann Wright called my job from this number stating to a co-worker that she was calling from Proffessional Leagal Mediation Services.  The lady said it was a legal matter and I needed to call back today because she was giving me a chance to speak with her before the issue left her office.  Scammer with a big S...I dont know who she is so I am not worried about her or wherever she is calling from.  These people buy your information and will say anything they can to get a dollar from you.

I have received two phone calls from this "Beverly", Miss Ann Wright stating that she has paperwork on her desk for me. She gave me a case number, and told me to call her back immediately. I wont be calling her back. I hate these people! I know for a fact that I DO NOT owe money to anyone. Thanks for the info.

I've been getting calls from this number off and on for 2 months - they even called and harassed a relative at another number. I filed a complaint with my state attorney general, and they did follow up, although the email address the AG tried to use kicked back as undeliverable (Shirley Logwood, legalmediation2014@gmail.com). There's a couple of Red Flags. What legit business has a gmail account with the year in it? After 2 more voice mails this week, one mentioning a particular bank, I pulled a credit report and then called that bank to confirm I have never had an account there. Red Flag. So I called this phone number back and got an older lady who said it was Professional Legal Mediation Services. When I asked for an address, she said "Kentucky." Red Flag. Ms Wright was "in a meeting," so passed me to "Ron." I told him to stop calling me, that the bank she mentioned confirmed I never had an account, and he said they sent my "file" back to the "client" some time ago, but he couldn't say who the client was (Red Flag) or why I was still getting calls. Red Flag. He was very eager to get off the phone with me. Red Flag, Done. I'm still tempted to do a follow-up with the AG's office. I think this is one big scam.
