Got 3 calls today, 1hr apart. Forwarded to answering machine. No message left.

Same thing, phone rings, no one is there - caller ID said it was from Portland, Or 503-295-1276 - I called the number back and it said "this number has been disconnected".  Whoever you are, you screwed something up!

I got this number today twice. Once around 11am and it was some woman using a soft voice asking if some steven was there and I yelled at her saying that it was the wrong number and then they called again at like 4:30, asking for the same person! But the first time it was unknown number, the second time it was Portland.

blueoregon.com is a Democratic blog that finances these people.  They have a loophole, passed by their grubbies, in the do not call law.

Easy solution.  Blue Oregon is very responsive/dependent on public perception.  They are sensitive to the claim that they are only interested in collecting $$ for Dems.  Post follow-ups to their blog stories (no registration required), telling them what a bunch of rude MFers their people on the ground are.  Tell them that you are pissed off enough to not give campaign $$ because of it.

I assure you if you do, the calls will cease, and long before Nov. 4!

Figures it's OSPIRG!  I interviewed for one of their campaigns a few years back because I believed in the cause and was totally dissed by a bunch of in-your-face, the ends justify any means, rude, know it all gen-xers, that told me to go to hell because I was over 30!

Get these idiots in a coversation and record it.  Then send it to the Obama campaign and news outlets.  Jiang was right.  Seeming to be progressive is beacoup bucks in Oregon, and there's lots of outright crooks sucking off the big teat.  The depend on their ultimate masters not knowing.  Let them know, these scum go away.

Same thing is happening to us....left a nasty message to president of Blue Oregon on the website and treatened to go to the Oregonian if this doesn't stop.

Kari Chisholm here.  I run BlueOregon.  #1, our blog doesn't finance anyone.  (We barely make enough money on ads to pay the server bills.)  #2, we've got nothing to do with any phone calls of any sort.  It's a blog; that's it.

Finally, since I do know some folks with the Merkley campaign, I'm going to ask around and find out more.

The lady left a rambling message starting off with "I like the young ones."

Left a long message on my cell. I couldn't understand most of it, but I did hear somebody whispering my name. Weird.

I called 503-295-1276 and was told that the number was disconnected.  Strange how I could get a call from a disconnected number?????

This is the second time I've received a call from this number; both times, it went to my answering machine!  The first time they left no message - but on the second call, they left a very short message that sounded like gibberish.  It makes one wonder why they even waste their time if they're not going to answer when called back, and when the calls are answered, why they hang up!

Maybe they've got someone who gets paid for just sitting in a room and making random calls...with no one to oversee them for effectiveness!!

It does get annoying!

Just got a call from them.  Silence.

deep voice caller said "is your mom there?" then hung up once I (mom) got on the phone

they keep calling, it is listed as "Portland, OR" on caller ID...we don't answer if we don't know who is calling and they never leave a message, but keep calling!

This is a campain to elect Jeff Merkly. They call 6 times a day and the lady I spoke to was rude and condesending when I said I was undecided as to who I was going to vote for. She tried talking above me while I wa talking and I wound up shouting "take my name off the list"!!! After slamming the phone down I immedietly opened the voter envelope and vote for Smith, Merkley's opponent. KMA Merkley!!!!

Merkely campaign, told them I was voting for Smith because of the harassing phone calls.
