    I got a text message saying to call because thereal are issues with my bank card.  I think it is a hoax.

    Received a text message on my cell phone in Oregon yesterday, saying that my bank card had been deactivated.  The phone call appears to have originated in China, which I don't understand, because the area code is local. How do they do these things? Anyway, it is clearly an attempt to commit fraud because my bank account has nothing to do with my cell phone. Jerks!

    I received a text message saying my card has been deactivated. Definitely a hoax, a stupid lie because I never had account or bank card that assumption.
