Got a call from "Rover". No message. Scam

Got a random call, no message.

Two consecutive random calls, no voicemails left either time. Didn't know the number so I didn't pick up.

Called both my phone and my boyfriends with in minutes. No voice message left.

Got a call to my cell and answered it.

Someone speaking broken English with an obvious accent told me that "me and some other lucky homeowners" were selected to receive a $1,200 security system.

Missed call on cell phone, didn't leave voicemail.

Got a call today on my cell. Don't recognize number.

Random Call to cell; no message.

What are these calls?  I get these calls on my cell phone. They don't answer when I pick up and they don't leave any messages.

Got a call on my pay-as-you-go cell phone. No voicemail set up as there are a very limited set of numbers I'll accept on this phone and will call those few back. I hit ignore.

In reading other's complaints/experiences re: "Winning" and "Home Security System", people know that this is a scam and an attempt at credit card and ID fraud. Never, never give out personal info to a unknown caller who 'cold calls' you (contacts you out of the blue). It's best not to answer these calls, as that confirms to their robodialing computer system that they have reached a 'legitimate' working number, and then they will not only continue to call, but will sell you number to as many other illegal scammers as they can.

I suspect that many of these call centers are set up to finance international radical muslim terrorism, so, American dollars are being stolen to finance the murder of us citizens. It's time to demand that our federal authorities step in and squash this phenomenon once and for all.

I'm sure this is a spoofed number and a scam or else a US company is illegally using an overseas call center (like that cancelled TV show outsourced) for illegal telemarketing in violation of the DoNotCall List law. I will be reporting also.

But it's time for (1) WhoCallsMe to include another category of "Call Types": Scam/Spam and (2) for some good, savvy lawyer to initiate a class action lawsuit against these scumbags and let us all collect $ for our time and aggravation! Then we can all go laughing all the way to the bank.

Both me and my partner got the same call.  He or she hung up on one, I was told that it was Victor some security program.  English very broken - told him we were set and hung up.

Security systems scam. Called twice in the past few days. Won't be pretty if they call again.

Got a call from this number today....Ignored it...No Voice Mail Message left.

Got a call i dident answer it and no message...

Received call today and was told that I have been selected along with 10 other homeowners in the area to receive a "Free" security system. He wanted to know if I was a homeowner.  I told him it was none of his business.  He continued talking, but I hung up the phone on him.  I could not understand the name he used to identify himself or the company that he represented.

Got a call on my cell phone frome this #, no voicemail was left. when i white paged it, it came up it was from Oregon, but wouldn't give me a name for the #, so ijust put the # in & hit search & found this, I'm glad I did & didn't call it back.

Got a call on our business line.  The caller could not speak English very well and he said his names was Victor.  He was indicating that we had won a home security system.  I told him this was a business and not a home and he hung up on me.

I did not answer the call.However when I called the number back it was a busy tone, then on the second attempt I got a recorded message. "Thank you for calling back. If you are not interested in receiving future calls regarding our special promotions and would like to be placed on a do not call list please press one. Please allow up to 72 hours to have your number removed from our preferred marketing list. Thank you, and have a nice day." I did a search on this number using google and it looks like many people are having the same issue I am.

Received a call from this number says I received a free security system. They called my cell phone number. Scam!!

This is the third junk call I've gotten today, so someone sold my info to a bunch of folks at one time.  The first call was for a "free" security system, the second was for a "free" trip to the Bahamas, and the third was this one, which it appears was another security system.
