The caller hung up when my answering machine picked up the call. The prefix belongs to a Salem Oregon landline.

I received a call from this number and because I'm over my cell phone minutes I didn't answer but I tried calling the number back from my friends phone and i when I did I got the message that this phone number was no longer in service.

I got the same caller ID & when I tried to call back, it said disconnected

I just got a call from this number.  I was talking to a friend so I didn't take the call.  When I tried to call them back it says the number has been disconnected.

I just got a call from 503-581-7668 - when I answered, they hung-up.  I admit that I answer with my company name - and that may have triggered the hang up.  I then called them and got the "disconnected" message.  Both my cell phone & land line are on the "do not call" list.  This is a Salem, OR, number but I have no idea who it belongs to.

Just got a call from 503-581-7668 on my work BlackBerry and when I tried to return the call the message said the number was disconnected.  Only my work associates have my BlackBerry number.

It is the Department of Justice.

On 9/2/08, I received a call from 503-581-7668 requesting an interview with the State of Oregon.  I've submitted a couple of state applications; it's a legitimate State of Oregon government phone number.
