They called my workplace in Tempe, AZ (an Industrial Plant doing work for the U.S. Dept. of Defense).
The robo call said that someone had referred me because I was interested in a new home security system because of recent crime in the area. I pressed  a # to speak to a specialist because I wanted them to remove my number from their database. A woman answered and asked if I was a homeowner? I said no and before I could tell her this type of call was inappropriate for this location, she quickly hung up.

I just got robo called from that number and pressed 1 for the same reason (to request to be removed).  I was transferred, and the line picked up, but there was no one on the other end.  It sounded as if I were on a cell phone in someone's pocket.  I could hear them talking in the background. "Hey [name I couldn't make out], are you logged on?"  I sat and listened, hoping to get a tidbit of a company name to attach to my report about prank/scam calls and eventually they hung up on me.  I called back several times from different phone numbers and no one would ever answer.
Looks like I'll be filling out that report for the FCC.  I encourage others to do the same.
