503-605-8772

I noticed the same call on my caller ID for a few days too.

We've been receiving calls from 503-605-8772 and 503-403-2697 for month, most times no one would answer when we said hello, just ring and if we answered they would hang up. We didn't know what was going on. Finally my wife got an answer from someone with CID = OREGON. She talked with them and found out they were Wells Fargo bank. They asked for a person we have no knowledge of and told them so. That didn't matter to them and they hung up on her. The calls kept coming day and night weekends included. I put a block on the Oregon number so we only heard the one ring and that helped for a while until this 503-605-8772 started calling. This time they are Identified as Wells Fargo on CID. My wife got tired of them and finally got a real person to talk with and they wouldn't accept the fact that we were not someone else. They insisted "what is your account number"? and my wife says we don't have an account with you. They insisted she give them her SS number, she did and they hung up on her. I answered their call days later and talked with them to no avail. (see next post)

(continued)   It seems Oregon has stopped calling all together)  and this new number is harassing us continually now. Both of us have talked with them to no avail. One time my wife asked for a supervisor and got another number to call and complain. The supervisor insisted on her SS number and said she would take our number off their list. That has done no good and their calling again. I just had surgery recently and trying to recover and they just woke me up after a night of unrest.

I'm not leaving my name and email address for privacy reasons, but I'm copying this post and saving it for later, and will re-insert it if they delete it. Today's date is 12,17,2011 I will record the next conversation with them and proceed with legal action if they persist. The only accounts I've had with them were maybe ten years ago and that checking account was closed out including a large CD.  I tried to post this message but it kept saying make it 1000 characters or less, I think I did by cutting it in half but that didn’t work

It's a scam don't give them any information. They are posing as Wells Fargo collections, Wells Fargo will never call you and ask for your social security number.

Actually, Wells Fargo does. When I called in myself to talk about my own account, they made me go through the trouble of verifiying my social and like, 3 of the last 5 deposits made into my account with dates and everything.

I believe they are calling me about my overdrawn checking account. I am already paying on this to get it taken care of, but they call me at least 3 times a day anyway, and I am sure will continue to call until it's paid off. It's annoying, but that's what it's for.
