Calls repeated, usually between 7:30 and 8:00 PM.  Caller ID says "SSI."  Never leaves a message.

I've gotten it twice in the evening. Says SSI. No message left.

I am tired of them keep calling..even in the evening after 8pm...never leave a message..when I answer they won't  say anything or hang up..what should I do

Calls from Astoria. This number and several others. All times of day. Each time, it's a different 503.741 number. They say nothing. I feel like it's someone playing with a new PBX and auto-dialer. I wish I'd never answered to let them know my number was legit. But I know people there and have family who visit there. You know? You just answer, b/c it could be someone stuck and using a pay phone.

Just called.  Took probably 15-20 seconds for a live person to come on the line.  Ask for a resident by name.  When I questioned what it was about was told they are a national data firm, not selling anything, but would like to ask some questions.  Told them I wasn't interested and hung up.  Shows as "SSI" on caller ID and have seen it several times lately in my missed calls.

This number calls in the evenings and on Sunday (2 times today before 1PM). I never pick up, but my answering machine does, and they never leave a message. It says it's an Astoria OR number, but I'm guessing it's a company based elsewhere that is just paying for, and running their calls through that number.

Same as Human_Being - I have been getting calls from this and other 503-471... numbers. I don't answer it but they still keep trying. Going to put these numbers in my spam file...

I just posted below in response to your post - then found that I can reply here - just to let you know that I have started getting calls this week in the same way that you describe here. Each time a different 503.741 number. I have not answered any of the calls. Hopefully they will just stop...
