- Las Vegas Consumer AdvocateIf you are on the do not call list, make sure you report these clowns to the FCC via their website. The only way to stop them is if we all report it and the FCC gets enough complaints. A political survey is no excuse for unwanted calls.

- Ken (VA)| 1 replyThe political "survey" is just a front for selling timeshares. The free cruise by Caribbean Cruise Lines is just a hook to get suckers and fools to take the bait. If you refuse to take a tour of their TIMESHARE VILLAGE, then you must pay for the entire cruise.
Don't answer the phone, don't call the number back, and, if you do answer - don't respond to the press 9 to remove your number. They will not remove it but will sell it as an active number AND continue to call. Their number changes about every month, but don't answer any number unless you recognize it. My God, are our telephones turning into the same traps as email spammers?
You can get additional, eye-opening information on ripoffreports.com and look up Caribbean Cruise Lines. Nasty, nasty company!- Caller: Political Opinions of America / Caribbean Cruise Lines

- Stop ItI recorded voice came on asking to take a 30 second survey. In return I would get a free cruise to the Bahamas. I was asked to press one for the survey or nine to be permanently removed from their list.

- No Sucker Here| 2 repliesAs a former Network (Cisco) Security Engineer, I don't fall for Internet, or Phone Scams, but I like to play along to waste their time...:>O I knew something was up when I received a call on Sunday, April 1st (April Fools!) from a number I did not know. After all, I am on the National Do NOT Call List! So with nothing to do, I picked up and it was a political poll recording, so I played along. On a scale of 1 to 5 how do you think the democrat house and senate are handling the financial situation, 1 being bad, 5 being best. I pressed 1! The democrats are not handling the debt crisis, they are just adding to it! Next question, how is the president handling the debt crisis, he's not! So, press 1! Surprise, the survey was over and I was to wait to book my cruise.
I was connected to a guy who gave his name as Olawale Akinnibi (he actually spelled it for me! Hahahahaha, jack ass!) As soon as he gave me the ship name, I was on the internet to see if it existed, but to also see what kind of scam it was. I googled "ss bahamas celebration political" and it came up with SCAM websites and so I had a hook in the guy. I let him go through his speech for 10 minutes just to waste his time. I figure if he's on the phone with me for that long, it's time he can't use to screw someone else. So I start asking questions, then tell him I know it's a scam and he gives me the number of this company 1-800-221-8200 and tells me to call it, he will wait. I happen to have 2 phones, so while I am talking to him, I call the number, just to see how far the scam goes, but it actually was a real company, but because it's Sunday, they are closed. I thought I could waste two peoples time but could not!
So I tell him the company is closed because its Sunday, so I guess I have to book now or loose the deal right? He says right, and I say it figures because you are scamming people. He's trying to tell me it's not a scam, even though I tell him I see dozens of websites with SCAM on them, he's still trying to maintain it's not a scam.
In the end, I kept him on the line for 30 minutes, and end the call by telling him I hope he rots in hell for trying to rip people off, and that God will get him! :>) I always add that, just in case they are religious, or have any morals, it puts that thought in their mind. God will get them!- Caller: SS Bahamas Celebration Cruise

- VickiJust got a call from this number on my cell, which I do NOT give out...did not answer and I don't have voicemail set up on my cell as it is a tracfone and I don't want to lose minutes to messages.
But, if they are stating they are part of a political party just to call those on the 'do not call list' then you need to report them immediately. Policial parties and some charities are immune from the DNC list, so they would be using that to their advantage just to suck you into a sales phone call....so, report them, takes about 2 minutes time is all...the more that report, the more chances they will be caught/fined- Caller: unknown ID
