Person called and left a threating message. He said he was with Department of Treasury. When I called back. He said name was Daniel Johnson. I asked for his ID number, he said 117296. He said I needed to do exactly what he said. I asked why this number was coming from Portland and not Washington, he said this number is routed to Washington's office. I asked to speak with his supervisor. He called me a [***] and hung up. I have also reported this to the fraud Department of The Department Of The Treasury.

Person called leaving a threating message saying was from the Department of Treasury and name was David Gray. I just let the answering machine get it. But it's the same basically as what Paula Whipple said.

Same as Bobby's comment, from David Grey. Claimed it was a second attempt at contact, even though there was no first contact. Let it go to voicemail. - Currently in Jacksonville, Florida.

This idiot left a message on my home answering machine claiming to be from The Treasury Department hoping to help get me before the magistrate about a federal criminal charge. Problem is not only did he not call from a number assigned to the treasury he failed to identify who he was calling for and mispronounced some important words. Total scam

Also got a message with the same scam from "Daniel Johnson" saying he was calling on behalf of the Treasury department.  Big scam. Had similar calls a few months back.

Said his name was David grey calling about federal offense with the us treasury

Got same type of call.  First asked for my dad and i told him he died four years ago and they hang up. I called back and to talk to someone in charge. I also told them IRS doesn't hire non american to call people. Then he had my name and said i got arrest warrant for tax return i file wrong

Message was left on answering machine.  It was David Gray about a US Treasury action against me.  I'm to call for assistance from him.

David Grey called.  Same as everyone elses..Man had an Indian accent.  He answers saying "United States Treasury"
Ha...who doesn't have automated call answering?  I am sure there is not a person answering at the US Treasury!

i just received a call from a Frank from Dept. of the U.S Treasury. He said his Federal I.D. Number was 100786.
He said i would've arrested today for failing to act on previous request (which I never receive).
Our city newspaper has put in the paper about these fraud calls. So please do not give them any information.

I just got the same message.  He couldn't speak well and didn't identify himself on the VM he left.  Claimed the "second" attempt and US Treasury criminal charges story.  I called the number to see what /who this was about knowing that my caller ID said unknown name that it was probably a scam of some sort.  The line was just a busy signal.
