- Julie| 1 replyThis number was seemingly from Wells Fargo. I received a text message from this number stating my bank card had been deactivated. I don't have an account or card with WF so I called the number since it was a scam. There was an automated voice although it wasn't like someone had recorded a woman's voice, it was very robotic as if someone had typed the words into a computer to read. It said "Thank you for calling Wells Fargo. Please put in your 16 digit card number." I pressed 0 which on any normal system would put you through to a person, but instead it said that number was invalid and to put in my 16 digit card number. Don't fall for it!
Beware of these scammers and thieves!- Caller: "Wells Fargo"
- Jeremy replies to JulieI experienced the same thing, and I also don't have a WF account.
