Just got a call from this number.  It rang 3 times and hung up before I could answer it.  Didn't leave a message.  Don't know anybody in Oregon

This is a real market research company, MDC, and they really do pay for focus groups. I made $50 for trying ice cream, and am going in next week to eat some fast food thing and I'll get $25. They do others some of which pay up to $100. They are located in SW Portland, and they're pretty nice. You get paid cash when you go in, for the taste tests; for the mail studies mentioned above they send you a check.

I got a call from this number today before i got home, they did not leave a message.

called me twice today!  don't you think these people would realize when you don't answer after the first 2 times you aren't interested?  In my opinion, if you don't leave a message for me to get back to you, then you don't really need to get ahold of me!  UGH!

I got a call from a woman at this Market Decisions Corp in Portland and told her I was on the "Do Not Call" list.  When I asked for her company's written policy on Do Not Call phone numbers, she quickly hung up the phone.

Got a call from this number a few moments ago.  The gentleman asked for my husband -- I told him he wasn't available & asked if I could help him -- he said "no" & asked if I knew when my husband would be home -- I said "no" -- he said "OK thanks" & hung up.  I knew it was a solicitor of some kind since people we know & companies we do business with know my husband cannot be reached at MY cell number.

They called me tonight, asked WAY to many questions. I fed them a bunch of BS and then my wife made me hang up. They wanted my address, earnings per year, date of birth for children, and how many pets I have and the breed. Thank goodness we have two hampsters, a pitbull that attacks and a kitchen mouse.

I can't remember his name or the name of his co. Said focus group and began asking "Do you have any children in your house between the ages of 20 and 70. I said I dont' give any personal info over the phone. This is a facet of gangstalking. Harassment phone calls and to get peronal info.

sounded like a african american young male who whispers in the phone "I feel good..."  Call lasted maybe 7 seconds....

If you're not interested enough to answer the phone, you probably won't want to get paid to participate in a focus group anyway! Sorry to bother.

It's Sunday 10-10-10 and I just got a call from 503-977-7698, call I.D. said Market Desision.  What can I do about calls like this?  I didn't answer the phone, I'm on the "No Call" list.  Next time they call I will answer and have a great time with them (smile)

Do not answer them at all. I don't know how they have earned an A+ with the BB Bureau. Does anybody report these abusive calls?

It is MDC and I have participated in a number of different focus groups being paid 30 to 100 dollars. They ask a lot of questions because they are trying to find out if your demographics fit into what the company that is requesting for the groups. They can only have so many 18 -25 yr old ladies or 40-50 men, etc. Even things like " do you consider yourself tech savy?"  So you may not qualify each time. My husband has participated in some that I didn't qualify for too. I am a real person living in Portland. I don't work for the company, but I get excited when I get a call because it may mean cash in hand for EASY work :)
