Claimed to be NM Correctional Facility call from an inmate. I'm sure it's a scam, just not sure if this number is legitimately from NM Correctional Facility.

Got a call from this number,  let it go to voicemail,  message says from an inmate at a correctional service,  that money will be charged and taxes,  can't find if this is really an inmate or a scam?  I don't know anybody in new mexico.

This number is from the New Mexico Correctional Facility in Los Lunas. My husband is in there right now. It's a legit number! NOT A SCAM

This number is from the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility located in Los Lunas, NM . It's also known as RDC (Receiving and Diagnostic Center). This facility is where inmates that are newly sentenced to prison all go to get evaluated and classified based on their mental health, and behavior and medical needs into a point system with 1 being the minimum security and 6 being maximum security. This prison also houses level 1 & 2 inmates and is a minimum security facility.

I rec'd 19 phone calls from this number, 17 of which were between 8:10 and 12:50 on the 26th of November. A google search indicates the number to be associated w/ James Halwood, who was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and aggravated battery in 2009 . . . aligning w/ information from previous posts.
