The caller asked for my copier/printer id # when I questioned why she said because it doesn't show up on the computer.  I asked what company she was from and she hung up.

This is Empereon Marketing, selling services for Charter Cable. They have been hassling me from both 505-647-9618 and 480-543-1256 which are their New Mexico and Arizona Call centers respectively. I have asked numerous times to be put on internal do not call list, I am already on the federal do not call list as well. I squarely blame Charter Communications for this never ending stream of marketing calls and will be severing my ties witht hem for good. I have also now filed my 3rd complaint with FTC-FCC regarding Empereon Marketing

The person or persons who are calling Do Not Call Phone Numbers from 505-647-9618 have been reported more than once and the calls continue to come in.  When the phone is picked up to answer most of the time it is a female or they just hang up.

I have gotten a call from 505-647-9618 for 3 days straight now. 1st call sounded like a lot of background noise, but no one is at the other end. 2nd call is sounded like an autodialer was just finishing up, and then I could hear someone pick-up the headset.. then nothing but silence before an abrupt 'hang-up'. The third call I let go to voicemail, but no message was left. If this is from a telemarketing company trying to sell me somthing, I am going to tell them to add my number to the 'no-call' list!

I receive calls 5-6 a day from Emperon marketing.  I have left multiple messages to be removed from there list.  They reach me on my company phone and tie up our voicemail system because they never leave messages.  But still register as a voicemail because they listen to my voicemail recording.

Recently got new phone service hooked up with an *unlisted* phone number.  To my surprise, I started getting phone calls from this # 2-4 times a day!  They never leave a message so I finally answered and a man wanted to verify my information (he wanted an address and credit card #) so they could send me The Baltimore Sun.  I politely explained twice that I read Washington Post but he was relentless so I just hung up.  Don't mean to be rude but no means no!  Hope they stop calling constantly.

I believe the real problem is with the phone service provider who gives your NEW phone number to these slime. I must endure 30+ days of this BS before my DoNotCall registration is enforceable, even though I registered the number immediately.

In my case, I was sold-out by Comcast!

    Empereon Marketing, 505-647-9618 calls 3 times a day, 7 days a week.
People should be rude to these telemarketers.

I didn't put a loud bell in my house so that some moron can ring it for their own profit. DO NOT TALK TO MARKETERS, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!

I just canceled my subscription to the Chicago Tribune (had been receiving only the Sunday paper) because of their use of Empereon Marketing, and I told them this. Empereon called here several times a day until we got curious enough to answer. My husband told them "No" to their solicitation of more days of the newspaper. Their response to his "no"? BUT SIR, YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT... JUST THROW IT AWAY.

Well, in the interest of the environment and all, I think we'd be better off throwing our money directly in the garbage, don't you?

The icing on the cake was when they called again no more than 2 weeks later, and my mom (who was babysitting) answered. She told them she was not the head of the household, but they pressured her anyway. WTF?

Chicago Trib, you should know you are paying a company to harrass your customers.

Got a call where they say "you're being contacted by your local cable company" and they tell me to call the number but don't elaborate! We do happen to have Charter for our internet but they don't identify themselves as that. I don't answer the call but I will make a Do Not Call complaint. I believe there have been other calls for this number but I was posessed to look it up today.

I am an ex employee for the Empereon Marketing office in Coudersport, PA.  Just to clear a few things up, when a customer says "dont call here anymore" or even mentions the do not call list, we are required to give a scrips and then place them on the do not call list.  We put their number in our system, and dispositon the number as "do not call" and send it back to the Company we are calling from.  It is their responsibility to take care of that,,, ,also if everyone would actually listen to the entire script, you will hear "This process may take up to 30 days to complete" so dont blame the telemarketer, after all we cant even control what number we dial, we were on an AUTOMATIC DIALING SYSTEM with numbers sent from the company to call them. If a customer says i dont want it, and we dont rebuttle, we get fired.. so think of it this way, we have a job to do, just like you do, would you like us to come in and get all pissed off because you wont stop your job and get fired so we dont get upset at you???? didnt think so

Called with an recirding that said, "This call is from your local cable company.  If you have any questions call 505 647-9618.  But when you call it goes to nothingness.

You two that used to work for them, you really couldn't find a job that didn't bother people so much they would punch you if they could?  Really??

I used to work there also. It is a VERY stressful job, but it is money. We live in a very rural place where there are not too many job opportunities. I am actually fighting with myself about going back to work there; only because I need money. It is very stressful so they go through employees very quickly. People have even had a breakdown right there because of the stress.
There are some employees that go above and beyond, but those are usually afternoon people. The soft spoken people are only doing their job and trying not to get fired.

it is a very stressful job, just tell them to put you on their do not call list, the best part about it though is the money is limitless.. i used to make anywhere from 30-50 an hr minimum every week so it has its upside

I am currently working here in Coudersport, PA and it is a VERY stressful job. You have bad days and you have good days. It's better to be nice about and just politely ask us to remove you from the calling list instead of cussing us out or getting irritated with us. It is our job and we were hired to do that. We can't help that if we don't rebuttal we can potentially get fired. Living in such a small town it is hard to find a job that you can actually live off of. A lot of people in our town are getting hired there and, you can't expect us to not do our job at all. They can say they want to "punch us" if they could but, it's our job. We were hired to call people; sell a product; try to persuade them; and if they don't want it then close with our courtesy close. Most people that we call yell and say they just got a call yesterday or something but, we can't control that. It is an automatic dial er system and, we don't know who we are calling until the call comes in. There are Empereon Marketing places all over the world not just in one place so if you get a call from them either ignore it if you don't like it, or just hang up the phone after the call is branded. If you want to be added to the do not call list, just ask nicely. Don't be an [***] about it. It is our job and we'd hate to get fired because a customer won't let us speak and do what we are hired to do. You wouldn't like it if someone tried to tell you how to do your job and talk crap about "Emperon Marketing" in general. It's not a bad business, it gives you cable; satellite t.v; and a bunch of things. And, another thing; when people say they don't watch t.v and they have our most expensive package that drives me insane. -.-

I keep receiving the same hassling from a 410 number. It tells you to call the 505 #, but now my cellular service says it's no longer in service. Now what are we supposed to do? This is a little ridiculous!
