See msg about 4152873367.  Same type of call.  Someone threatening me with legal action if i don't get back to them right away.  Indian sounding female, who ends with "I feel sorry for you if you don't call me back.  And have a nice day."

I have been recieving calls for the pass three days from a Dale Williams, who sound like a man from India from this  2179604230, stating that I have a case against me.I was told that my social security number is being investigated. I call the number back and there is an ad on the phone for free calls all across the world. Then I recieve another call from 5082834686 and spoke with a lady by the name of Hazel, who spoke like she was from India. I ask her for evidence regarding this case that I am suppose to have. She told me that I could not get any information regarding this loan. I told her that if I owe I need to see some evidence, because some company recently got a hold of my account number and social security number. I am trying to be cautious as possible due to the situation that I just explained. I was also told that if I didn't settle today that and if it goes to the court that I would have to pay $8000and I could be arrested. Hazel said to me you don't have a criminal record and she is trying to help me from being arrested. I also called the 5082834686 and ask for Barry Miller and he answer states that I am being investigated regarding my social security number. I just recieved a call from a Mike Johnson from 9736072271, while I was making this statement stating that he is an officer for a state of investigation agency.

I got the exact same call as pamela but I asked for a supervisor or a manager and he said "Im the only person you need to talk to and I did my job the choice is yours!" what happen in your 2 situations?

Just got a call from,a india lady saying i was going to go to jail if i didnt send them money right away. I asked to talk to a manager, the lady put me on hold, and hung up.  A man from india also called me back and said do not hang up or the police will be there to get you for not paying a online payday loan. I told the man to have them come over cause I have never got a online pay day loan. The man then asked how he got my ss# and name and when I told him I didnt know to info me on how he got it and who this loan is threw he asked me to state that I have never got a online pay loan for the records. After I told him once again I have never got a online pay day loan he then told me to wait there for the police to arrive because I have now lied to him. I told him funny he has no idea where I am, and to send them because I was going to call the state police my self. He then told me to have a nice day and hung up. This is the number that called me.. 508-283-4686

These people are scammers. Don't call them back. They are phishing for information and trying to get you to pay a loan you don't owe.

For actual debts, the collector needs to provide you with written evidence of your debt. Do not give anyone any information or settle any debts over the telephone.

I receive a phone called around 8:00a.m.this morning from a india sounding lady whom said on the voicemail that she needed me to contact her right away, because my ss# was place with a payday loan and she needed to speak with me about it, and then she proceeded to say she was with a law firm and they was going to proceed with legal action against me. But after I didn't call back a foreign man called me from the same number (508)283-4686 and I answered he ask for me by name and said he was with a legal law firm and he has a account from payday loan with my ss# on it, and he needed me to send him $300.00 dollars western union, and when I started to ask him his name he said I didn't need to know his name just send the money western union, and I asked him who name should I put the money in he replied his manager and didn't give me any name, he said when I get to western union call him back and he would give me information. Then he said if I ignore the call I would go to jail, and the police will pick me up. Then he hung up. When I tried to call back to ask more questions there was no answer. What should I do about this prank call to stop it from calling me and leaving messages.

i have been receiving calls from this number for the past three days  in which the person with an indian sound voice very difficult to understand  tells me that i got a loan from U.S cash advance for $ 500.00 which i never received and he wants me to pay back or he will take a legal action to me . ending the conversation with these words..'' You have to go to  the court house and get a lawyer or he will go to my job tomorrow to take action about this case that i have no clue of what's goiung on .

Rec'd same call as others, they have e-mail accounts and SS#'s. Foreign speaking folks, also call from 646-283-4686. They hung up on me as well

I got a call from 508-283-4686 a india speaking man who said that he was from a law enforcement agency investigating me for fraud , ha this is a sick joke.

I got a phone call from this number 5082834686 talking about pay or go to court.

I got the same kind of call from a man with a foreign accent saying his name was Tom White from the Department of Law...yeah right...he threatened me on my voicemail with all of this legal action. These guys are awful and should be reported to the police, which I plan on doing if they continue to call.  Thanks everyone for putting this info out there so we know who these scammers are.

The morning of Friday June 15 th I get this call from the 5082834686. From a man sounding like he was from India, threatening me with legal action,!!!! He told me the last four of my social security n0.I told him I dont know what this is. Im in a wheelchair,  and not well,and hung up on him. He called back I didnt answer. These people are scammers, dont even listen to them, HANG-UP!!!!!!!!

I got a call from this hazel to and she has threatened me also.. tells me she is going to give me a hour to send the money or issue a warrent for my aresst.. this is bs

Received a voice mail from some lady by the name of Rachel. She has a heavy accent and wants me to give her call back. Said there was an investigation with my SSN and name. Phone number appeared on caller ID was (508) 283-4686.  I've been scammed before and this time, I am not believing this lady. Ignore their calls and report their number.

Alicia Williams calling from Dept. of Legal Investigation. "Your name and Social Security Number is under investigation. Please call me back to take care of this investigation. If you decide not to, you will be responsible and will be arrested. " I don't know why these people keep calling me. I have so many different numbers they keep calling me from. I can not believe how these people can scam people out of their money. I am getting tired of these phone calls. I keep changing my number, but they keep calling me. This needs to stop. Anyone know how we can stop them.

I received the same phone call and am confused but after reading these posts I feel a little better...I could hardly understand him and he told me I would be arrested if I did not respond and pay the amount by Friday via western union.  This is a joke and I'm upset.

Received the same phone call this morning from 508 283-4686.  A woman who sounded like she was from India told me she was from a law enforcement agency and did not identify which agency she was calling from.  She asked if i had a lawyer because my social security number was being investigated.  I knew it was a scam and said, "My number is being investigated?  I don't think so," and hung up on her.  My 15 year old son, who was with me, picked up on this and noted that if I was being investigated I would have received a letter.  I raised him well.

Got a call from a indian speaking person who claimed that she was a manager, name Michelle Williams. EVERYTHING mentioned in this article stating I owed a 12,000 and would go to jail if I don't repay it was told to me.

These people need to be STOPPED. It's just unlawful that people can get your information and harrass you like this!!

Annoyed

I received a call this morning at 7.53am, from 508-283-4686, from a woman who sounded foreign, possibly Indian.  She stated that my name and ss# were being investigated.  She said "I hope you don't ignore this call, but if you do, you will be faced with legal action."  I am sure it is a scam and am not calling back. I am in contact with all my creditors, so am aware of any issues I have.
