Recorded message says they have been trying to reach me and that IRS is taking me to court. They give a phone number they want you to call. I called them back with their caller ID number and they answer IRS. They wanted to know why I am calling and told them you just called me. She says yes Jim we just called you and why are you calling us back. She says that I owe the IRS(which is a complete lie), I told her this is not how IRS does business. Her caller ID did not say IRS so I called her a second time and asked her for the main switchboard and she hung up. The third time I called her back I questioned her what the IRS help line was, She gave me a fictitious phone number which I told her was incorrect and I asked her what IRS stands for she reluctantly said International Rep Service. I said what is your business? She could not answer and further questions resulted in crazy answers. I told her saying your the IRS and that your taking me to court sound like a scam and that I will report you. She said go ahead.

Got same recorded message as Jim (IRS suing you). Knew it was BS so didn't respond. Caller id was INTERNATIONAL

Same as Jim, I called back, she started talking and I read her Jim's letter.  Got to the bottom and she hung up.

Imagine how effective if they were to hire people that sounded vaguely American and had phone connections that didn't sound thoudanss of miles away.

This number keeps calling me and after reading all of these comments; idk i even should calling them back. Please tell me that im not going to court.

I had the same experience.  It's gotta be a scam.  I don't have any pending disputes with the IRS.  The call does not offer any explanation of why the IRS is threatening to sue just that it is.  It doesn't make any reference to previous legally recognized communication or that I have failed to respond to any attempts to contact me thusly.  I seriously doubt the IRS is going to use a robo-call to threaten to sue me.  I am not taking the bait.

This is a scam.  I called them back knowing that and listened to all the threats they leveled against me (jail, asset seizure, etc).  I confronted them and they hung up on me.  Called back numerous times to try to keep them from calling others, eventually they swore at me and told me that I knew there was no warrant or lawsuit against me.  I suggest continue to call them and tie them up if you have the time.  This will keep them from scamming others, at least for a little while.

This number is a scam identifying themselves as the IRS and threatening a lawsuit for uncollected monies.  Please take immediate action and shut this down.

same as above...2 voice mails when I got home today

We too have a message on our answering machine form this number.  We will contact our local news media and police department.

I got a voicemail from this number today.  I know it's a scam but you can't report it on the IRS website.  It's ridiculous that there is no way to stop these scammers from calling.  Someone is surely going to think it's for real.  My sister got a similar call from someone impersonating the IRS, but they told her she was going to go to jail if she didn't pay up.  The real IRS always contacts you by mail if they are looking for money...trust me, they send me mail yearly!

They have called our house daily for about 6 months asking for my husbands ex wife. She has never had this number and they have been divorced for 30 yrs. Now when they call they don't even say anything until I got this last phone call. I feel badly that they may be making money on elderly people that would believe them. It is so sad that we can't get rid of these con artists!
