- MN ResidentThis number called and left an automated vmail msg stating "The IRS has filed a lawsuit against you". I waited 5 days and called the number back from a generic line/number and the phone just rang, no answer, I hung up on the 10th ring.
Good thing the IRS makes it clear how they will contact/notify you and robocall is not on the list.- Caller: Claiming to be IRS
- MA ResidentRobocall from the "IRS" claiming I was under some sort of investigation. Called back and only got a busy signal. Multiple times, never been able to call back or talk to a person. Even if I pick up the phone within the first ring it automatically goes to a recorded message. Pretty sure the IRS would reach out to me through my actual address and speak to me in person if they actually wanted to get anything done.
