Caller has heavy accent, possibly Indian or Pakistan. He calls threatening to sue you and uses a fake law firm as his employer. He also claims to be employed by the Department of Law and Restitution. He made claims that I owed money on a credit card and was going to be sued. This is a scam. The caller had my SS # and my address. Do not give this idiot any information, tell him you have reported him to your Law Enforcement and hang up.

my parents received a phone call from this number/person today saying the same thing about me. i'm skeptical, because they did not call me or send me any sort of letter about any such thing happening. i have not called back, but how did you figure out this was a scam?

I have the same situation. He called my parents first, then called and left me messages but there is no answer when I call back.

This woman called my house just now and saying they were looking for my husband due to a lawsuit.. decided I would check the number.  SCAM is what I am finding.  It was a heavily accented woman.

Caller said she was from the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit

9/3/15  A computerized voice called our home saying the IRS was going to file a law suit against us.

I also just received an automated woman's voice saying that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against "you". She didn't say a specific person's name, just "you". To get more information about our case, we are to call back that number. I don't trust it at all so am not calling back. I see it appears to be a scam as I suspected.
