caller said they are from IRS

Some bozo thinks they can pose as the IRS with no caller ID?? I hope the Feds catch these people and lock them up.

Claims to be IRS filling a law suit

Just got a call from this number.  They stated it was the IRS final attempt to contact me and that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me.  I called our local TV station to report it, and they are following up on it.

this Indian sounding guy called my 70 year old mom telling her he was an irs agent and that she owed 2100 in back taxes and told her the irs was suing her and taking her to court.  and even went so far as to tell her she would lose everything and go to jail because there was a warrant out for her arrest.  He said the only way to stop it was to send cash!

Me too!  Called back and spoke to someone who gave his name and badge ID said I owe $3000 for last years taxes - sure would like to bust these bozos!

Everyone please remember that IRS does NOTcall.  The IRS sends letters .

Got two calls from this number stating they were I R S and it was my final notice and they were filing a law suit against me.

Scam claiming to be the IRS.

Received message on cell from this number. Indicated IRS is filing lawsuit against me. Strange, since I don't think the IRS has my cell #, I've only gotten letters from the IRS about anything, and I got a big refund this year, so if they thought I owed them anything they could have reduced my refund. Has to be a scam. (Also, calling from Tri-Cities,WA, not DC or a major IRS center).

called and left the number so I called back and it just rang !

Called and said they were from the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit.  The number showed up as Colville, WA.  When I tried to call back, they said the lines were busy.

Hope someone is able to find out what is going on.  I never give out my home number since I only use it for my Life Alert System.

Stated the IRS has or is about to file a lawsuit against me and this was my final notice.  Received two calls - both messages are on my answering machine.

The caller ID is restricted which is always a tip off as to a bad call.  Left a couple of messages to call about a case.  Of course I did not.  The IRS does not call you.  They send letters.

Wish I could block Restricted numbers.

Good keep us posted on what happens worth the tv station... Hopefully these people get caught by the feds!!!
