This clearly foreign (most likely Indian) recording called claiming to be Steve Martin (though he was not funny) said that this is his second attempt at notification of an impending Federal issue about me. "Please call 510-355-8902, and help me help you"

Scammer left this message twice on 11/06/14 with Indian accent, poor English and threats of federal prosecution:

"Hi. This message is intended to contact you. My name is Steve Martin and I'm calling regarding enforcement actions executed by US Treasury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an additional second atempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 510-355-8902. Again 510-355-8902. I advise you to corporate with us and help us to help you. Thanks."

I received similar call from this no telling me that I have back taxes due to the IRS and if I don't send cash I will be arrested.

I got this call on 11/5/14 from Steve Martin making the same threat as the other posters here -- I have committed some type of "Federal Offense" that they can "help me with". Sounded like an Indian accent.

I burst out laughing when I finished listening to this message. What makes me angry is that I'm sure that some naive people will fall for this scam and pay these people money.

same as noted - called twice, obvious scam.

Same here on November 6 th.  What agency has jurisdiction over this type of thing?
