Yes, it is Verizon.  Anytime you have yet to pay your bill, usually past due, they begin calling and using various local type numbers etc.  They also will send a text to  your phone to please call them by the end of the day.  They actually are pretty cool, as if you do respond by calling them, using the automated system, they actually allow you to pay by promising within 2 weeks etc.  So, they'll take it out of  your bank account.  I do this at times, due to some bills may come up unexpectedly.  The calls stop once you schedule or make a payment.

I have gotten several messages. I agree with the person who called Verizon.

This call sounds very official as if from Verizon. They've been calling me every hour today. I called Verizon and spoke with the regular office and the fraud department and they both said that this is not a Verizon phone number. I was told to ignore the call.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been getting calls from this number at all times of the day, but have never had a Verizon account in my life.

Someone calls and never says a thing.  Just sits there for a few minutes.  Creepy.  Three other numbers,510-931-9379 and 510-962-7492 and 510-963-7780 also call and not say a thing.  Very creepy.  Will make police report next time. I'm sure it's the same person behind all the calls.
