This number has called my cell. Did not leave a message. Listed as from "Elgin, Tx"

I have started receiving phone calls from this nu, ber on my cell. I have a 512 number but it has been years since I haveeven lived in Texas. And I am very strict about giving my number. They never have left a message very annoying

Got 3 calls from this number today and they will not identify themselves.  Interesting that this seems to be happening to others recently (within the past 3 days).  Must be some sort of scam.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone, too. Didnt leave a message. I have a 512 area code as well.

Auto-dialed my number and then disconnected when I answered. I called them back. They are calling from Direct Buy in Austin. Started out saying my number was randomly selected to enter to win $50,000 or something when I stopped her to ask where she was calling from. I'm not familiar with the business, but from searches, it looks like they are a hard-sell membership club with a membership fee of $5000. No one online has anything good to say about them.

direct buy called me and i told them that i was on the do not call list and that i was going to report them to the fcc for violation.

Number has called me the past 2 days...I answer because I have a couple of ads on craigslist...but no response they hang up immediately.

Just called me again - won't leave a message.  

Some lady calling say she was with some place and I had won a 50,000 home make over.  She was clearly in some very noisey call center I could barely hear her over all the other people trying to run the scam

Yup, same thing here - 50,000 home makeover, vacation, or tablet.  Their address given 90160 Research Boulevard where I would go to claim my "prize" matches up with Direct Buy

Repeatedly call. I answered once, and the person's accent was so heavy I could not understand them. I did get "Congratulations, you have been selected..." I told them to stop calling my number. Just got another one and answered - nothing.  

Got random call, immediately hung up.

Got a 2nd call from this number and said thanks, but no thanks, as I did not solicit the call.

Call fron Direct Buy to a DNC number.
They called three days earlier from a different number: 512-672-8698 and were informed that they were in violation of both federal and state DNC legislation. They don't care.  They just called from a different number.
Any company who flagrantly violates federal and state laws like they do will never get my business.

Got 2 calls from them in less than 10 minutes. I have family in Elgin so I picked up and was hung up on both times so I called back and just got a Thank you for calling us back female whom I told I was irritated that I had been hung up on twice and she said they would remove my number. UGH!!!!!!!!!!

Same they called. I did not answer, called back and they were very quick to hang up when I asked who they were.

Just recently got a call from this number, I did answer it. I have a 512 area code but haven't lived there in at least 5 years. When I answered the caller was definitely in a crowed area, I could barely hear the caller. It was definitely a girl saying that I had won a 50,000 dollar make over! She said my number had been randomly picked to win this, I soon hung up because it sounded like a prank call to be honest. I really think this is a scam.

Got a call from this number. I did not answer. They did not leave a message. I called it back. It hung up on me. I assume it must be some sort of telemarketer.

I have received 3 calls from this number in the past week. The number comes up as Elgin, Texas, on caller ID. Today I answered and it was very noisy in the background like a call center. The woman said that my phone number was selected for a $50K shopping spree. I told them this is a scam, and do not ever call me again! My phone number has been registered on the Do Not Call List for years, so I don't know how they got my number.
