    Same here, got a very rude, strange call from this number. Acted very evasive. Something is not quite right. Would love to know whats going on. Probably some scam.

    Figured it out. Texas State Troopers Association (or something like that). Trying to raise money for fallen state troopers.

    Not Texas State Troopers Association.  Some other organization calling on behalf of Texas State Troopers.  TSTA does not have a magazine to sell ads for.

    It's Texas State Highway Patrol Association I believe.  I've actually donated with them twice, takes forever to actually get the decal stickers from them, so this time I asked if they could send me the packet first and I'll mail them a check.  The guy got defensive and hung-up.  His name was Mr. Brown.
