why does the do not call list stop unsolicited phone calls?????????

I just got a call from this number.  When I answered, there was a recorded message playing that said "That is not a valid extension."  I called the number back and got a Verizon Wireless message that said "Verizon Wireless. The number you have dialed is either changed, disconnected or no longer in service..."

Same response and issue with me from same number

Got a call from this number and no one was there.   Called back and got busy signal.

They disconnected as soon as I answered.

I did not answer the call. Thanks to the previous posts I didn't call them back. There was no voice mail left.

They hung up before I answered. I suspect this was from robo-dialer. So being on a do not call doesn't apply to them. Just another number I added to my reject list. Done deal.

I missed a call from this number, left no message. I called it back and it said all circuits were busy.  I called it back again 2 minutes later and it said the number was not in service.  I hate these calls.

Robocall to my cellphone. It's the "this is Rachel from credit services. there's no problem with your credit car but bla bla ba". I thought cell phone numbers were off limits for robocalls.

Robocall offering "credit card" bs. Started same time as 800 845 6565. Spammers never harass solitarily. Of course on dnc list

call received. no voice mail.
