512-717-0700

I received 2 calls from phone number 512-717-0700 with a recorded message stating that me or my attorney needed to all this number back immediately. It said the call was from officer Heather (something) from the Internal Revenue Service.

When I called the number back today, a man with a heavy accent answered. He asked for my name and last 4 digits of my social security number, then asked to verify the address he had on file. He asked how I filed my taxes, individually or with someone, and how they were filed, by me or someone else. He then stated that the call was being recorded. He said that he was from an audit department with the IRS and that they had found that I my taxes were completed incorrectly from 2012-2015 and that I owed $8,400. He said that I needed to pay this amount within the next 2 hours or that a sheriff would be arriving at my door and charges would be filed. He also said that they had sent 2 previous letters which we had not responded to. When I stated that we hadn’t received any letters from the IRS, he said they would have required signature and if we weren’t home at that time, they would have been returned. When I asked him how I would know if this was a legitimate call, he said to go to google and search for “IRS toll free numbers” and this phone number would be found.

I ended up hanging up and immediately received 5 calls from 800-829-1040, which I did not answer.

they keep calling saying they are the IRS

I have now received 2 such calls😀.  However, the IRS will never call you I am told.  The same each accent man answered the phone when I called.  This is fraud, not the IRS.  I am going to contact the authorities!

This number keeps calling me telling me I owe the IRS and to pay them or I will be arrested.

I received two calls as well this morning.  Same message that I owed the IRS $7280 in taxes.  Told him
which is true that I received an email from someone stating that the IRS owed me $15000 and all I had
to do to collect it was to call a specific number to verify who I was.  Told him to deduct the $7280 and send
the rest.  Cursed me and hung up.

A call saying we owe $8000 to the irs in past taxes.

I owed IRS $4,000 due to fraud.  The caller called me 3 different times and left this message.

i received a phone call from 512 717 0700 saying IRS Heather Grey on phone says Austin Texas and i cant call number back... SINCE WHEN DOES IRS CALL AND FROM AUSTIN TEXAS YEA RIGHT. SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP THESE SCAMS
