 This number 512-861-8250 called my cell phone on May 15, 2014 & caller addressed me by name to verify my name then said that she noticed this is a cell number. First of all, How would an unknown caller know the difference between mobile & landline? Caller was giving a speil about how great Time Warner bundle packages are. Tried to call the same number back, it just rings a couple of times & connects to dead silence. Called Time Warner Cable of Texas(Corp Regional Office) & they are unfamiliar with this particular number!

I received an auto call from TWC informing me about status of my account.  Then I called back and made my account current via phone.  Then shortly after I received a call from this number which I was unfamiliar with.  I didn't answer it.  Today, I received another auto call from TWC giving me update on my account.  Once again several hours later, I received another call from this number which I once again did not answer.  I decided to Google the number and see what came up and here I am.  I've concluded that someone is monitoring TWC's 1-800 number and somehow is obtaining their client calling list so they can further conduct a telemarketing call on their behalf to upgrade services.  It's probably an outsourced company for TWC is my guess.  Annoying!

These calls were all conducted on my cell and no messages were left from this number (which was a red flag for me).  I too tried to call this number the first time on a land line with no answer.

Guy called "With" Time Warner his name was Carl McCraney when I asked him for his employee # he wouldn't give it to me. Asked me what my address was and if I lived alone. I immediately hung up and called Time Warner and they confirmed this was a scam. They claim to be a 3rd party company called I paecsetters and they ask you to upgrade your service but you have to put money on a card.... do not give them info Time Warner said they never call customers to upgrade or downgrade their services. Time warner asked that you immediately hang up, do not give them any information.

Just got the call July 7, 2014 and the caller introduced himself and hung up. Must have been a shift change as
the call went dead as he was about to tell me who he worked for.

This is Time Warner Cable, I assume trying to sell upgrade packages to customers. They usually call during regular business hours.
