Caller ID showed J M Martinelli. I let the answering machine pick up and they hung up. Don't have a clue who they are but I did a search on the number and it is listed as residential in Loveland Ohio.

This is telemarketing call from Viet Nam Veterans.  They refuse to stop calling.

This is Judy Martinelli who nags me with phone calls.  This is a sleeze organization.  They sell what you donate and keep almost 33% for themselves.  We should all call her and nag her to death.  They've called me twice today.

I get calls form this number all the time and when you try to call this number it is always busy.

They will not stop calling me. Please help me stop them.

If you get harassing calls from 513-683-1222, you can reach the caller (Judy Martinelli) directly @ 513-505-4004!!! Also you can call her employer @ 1-800-535-3834!!

Just got a call from this number as well. Caller ID says J M Martinelli. When the answering machine picked up, the call ended.

Still calling. Definitely Vietnam Vets. We don't mind donating, but they call at least twice a day every day. very persistent. It's like when you feed the geese. They keep following you.

Just found the connection between this number and all the annoying calls. Wouldn't leave a message and I just got my caller ID back so I figured it was a call for my kids when I reverse looked up number to find Loveland Ohio.  Did not recognize name so googled and found this page.

I have asked probably every time I ave actually answered over the past 10 years to be removed from calling list.  I tell them I will not donate to charities that I can only claim 20% on my taxes.

Especially now that I know they sell for a profit themselves.

Ok final scoop

Went to official Vietnam veterans of America website. www.VVA.org and followed their donation link.  It is only available in a small number of states.  Called the 888-518-8387 number. They confirmed they do not schedule for Ohio.  Gave me another 800 number that was in above post 800-535-3834 and they contract with privately owned ie JM Martinelli.   They confirmed that the privately owed register with them so they can provide scheduling.  Then the privately owned go around and pick up donations take them to thrift stores and send the proceeds to Vietnam veterans of America.  I said, so these people are not donating their time correct?  They said no.  

Final word    They take your items, sell to thrift store, keep about  80% of the money and send the small 20% or less proceeds to Vietnam Veterans of America   If you want to donate to Vietnam Vets, send them a check and donate to Goodwill or St. Vincent De Paul where you get to claim 100% of your donation (Vietnam Vets you only get to claim  20% of your items value

That was a good investigation from Amy.  I figure if they don't bother to leave a message at least, then they are not legit.
