number just called me on LABOR DAY.. which we ALL KNOW financial institutions are closed because it is a government holiday.. and just told me they were from fraud detection services from capital one bank.  THIS is a scam!  BE warned.. if u call the number back or answer, if u give them any information, u WILL Have ur identity stolen!  I repeat DO NOT even give or confirm your name.. THEY already have ur credit card information, the more information u give them more they can use to gain access to other accts as well.  PLEASE.. if u get a call.. GO IN PERSON to your local bank the next time they are open and CLOSE DOWN your card and have them issue a new card.. and have them review acct for any possible charges you have not made!!

513-900-4000 is the caller ID for as fraud prevention company used by several banks.  I got a call and let it go to voicemail.  Picked up a cryptic message with my name and mention of debit card fraud and having my debit card locked.  My bank verified they were working with this company.

They stopped an out of state hotel charge on my account.  They never asked for any personal data, just told me of the attempted fraud which my bank verified.

Batman below is not too bright.  A fraud prevention company will call you on bank holidays

My banks online customer service is down till tomorrow at 9.
This place called and asked for me by name (so that was verified sadly)
They claimed to be representing First Niagara Bank.
Wanted verification I'd attempted to make a purchase in England.
(I had but it had been blocked and I still don't know why)
Checked my bank balance immediately and WILL be down at my bank tomorrow 9am to close out the debit card and put my account on monitor.

I got a call from this number and did not answer it. They did not leave a message. If it were a real fraud detection service, from my back, they would have left a message.

Fred, you must be working with the swindlers……  this just happened to me (new years eve)   they said they were calling from my bank and are seeing fraudulent charges to my credit card.  The lady requested my wires SS#, I'm so thankful my wife said we will not divulge this info over the phone.  We called our bank and they spent over 30 minutes searching for suspicious activities…..  the found none.  She assured me that the bank would never ask for SS# over the phone, so people ignore Batman!  he may be the person hiding in a cave waiting to Sh*t on your head.

FRAUD, some kind of PHISHING.  They do not identify themselves, in their voicemail or in the automated message when I called back.  Dialing "0" for Operator just gives you the same repeating message.

Any time there's an issue with a credit card, the company's own Fraud Department calls back.

I intend now to check my credit card status directly with my card companies.

    BEWARE

This number left a message on my answering machine regarding some kind of charge to an account.  HOWEVER, I have never heard of the name of the person they left the message for, so I assume this is some sort of scam.

Im beyond Annoyed! This number calls every single days at various hours of the day even at 4am , when I answer there are only beeping sounds. I have tried calling back and can never reach anyone. The caller ID says its Vantiv but I called the actual company Vantiv and they denied having any relationship with this number.

I noticed fraudulent charges on my Visa statement.  I called Visa and got routed to the fraud and dispute resolutions department.  The situation couldn't be rectified at that moment, and I agreed to have them call me back the next day.  They did indeed call, and the call showed from this number.  The 513 area code is in Cincinnati, but this representative wasn't a US native.  I believe this a number that others, including VISAs fraud department, use to route phone calls thru.  But yes, the bad guys could possibly route thru this number also.

I have been called several times by this company but they never leave a message with return contact. I finally tried to call them back, pressed "O" for operator and get circled back to same message repeatedly. I know Vantiv is a legitimate company (others here have mentioned that name) but this manner of calling without messages, nname or extention, i.e.:an inability to reach on a return call is suspicious.

Called my office line while I was on another call.  Called back and got a vague recording that does not even identify the company or work properly with their own selections menu.  Not like my company is having any fraudulent business dealings or like my own bank would call me at work before they called my cell...so NOPE...
