this number called and posed as wells fargo bank overdraft department. when you call the number back a lady answers saying "wells fargo overdraft department. may i have your account number and social please?" I called wells fargo and reported this scam, however this phone is still calling every few hours. they must not be very effective at stopping these scams.

I went into the local Wells Fargo and they have never heard of this company nor had it listed in their own data base.  I have called them three times and each they got nervous and hung up.  Wells Fargo would not just not hang up on customers.  They state they would never ask for a social security number over the phone.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION

I'm on the "DO Not Call List" and yet this phone number spams my cell phone every day. I can't answer it, as it costs me $2.00 a day to use my "Pay As You Go" phone. Their should be a law that solicitors can not call cell phones.

It IS Wells Fargo overdraft services aka collections. They might hang up because try work on auto diapers and when it rings so many times it auto hangs up. They BY LAW cannot talk to you without verifying ou San or acct number with last four of Ssn it is your bank account so any normal person wouldn't just want anyone to be able to call in and can't thier info with out verifying a bank branch can't confirm the number because there Ate litterally 100's of hone numbers they use. Obviously they will call you repeatedly if you owe them money. Common sence people. I can garuntee if you pay what you owe on your over drafted account the calls will magically stop coming.

After dealing with this stupid number, I went into a Wells Fargo branch, and confirmed that it is NOT theirs. Don't give them your number. Don't even acknowledge them. And watch out for the people on this wall saying it's not a scam, because they are probably in on it - anyone running this scam could google the number, find this board in two seconds like we all did, and claim to be "Clutch" or "Ashley" insisting that you should trust them....don't! No legitimate company will ask you for your entire SSN over the phone, ever.

I contacted my Wells Fargo Bank and they indeed told me that the number is part of their overdraft dept. My banker called herself to find out if there were notes left about the calling me, and she called me back to say it was  in fact there Overdraft dept.

Here is the problem, the Wells Fargo collection department has some people that do not communicate with the rest of the bank. If you make a deposit, they don't see it and so they call and make the normal collection threats to get you to fix the NSF issues in your account. If you ask for a supervisor because the person seems dumb as a stump, they want to send your call to a supervisors voice mail. I am a little older and if I say I want to speak to a supervisor, I don't want someone's darn voice mail. So, here we go guys, take all collection calls add them to your call list in your cell phone with name and telephone number so you know before you pick up if you want to speak to someone or not. This is utter BS. Don't call me if you cant resolve my question to my satisfaction.  I mean is it too hard to expect to speak to a real living intelligent life being?? I hate automation it sucks and I wish he wires to all of it would melt so people would actually have to do their jobs. I cant believe that anyone of the bank employees would ask for your full social security number but this person did and the likelihood of your getting the same person every time you call is highly unlikely. Most of the time they only ask for your debit number and last 4 of your social security number. Be very careful guys, it is the thieves time to rob any one who is unsuspecting.
