If you have a home equity loan/mortgage with Wachovia/Wells Fargo, this is what the number is for.  the call was probably if your mtg is past due or if you are doing a motification loan on your property.
Or maybe they have a wrong number.  call them to take your number off their list.

just got a call here also ... I can't help but think that it's somebody trying to get you to call them back just to tell them that they have the wrong number ... then they have you on the phone.

the msg sounded urgent - this would help make the could-be-trapped person think "oh, well ... I better call back because the person who's supposed to get this msg never will if the caller thinks I'm them ..."

    Hmmm  ...

And she used my name ... isn't that weird that her records wouldn't have told her that "Pam" was not the name of the person she was trying to call ??? Or is it just a coincidence that we both had the same name ...

     Sounds like a scam.

Well, Linda,  it's a fraud posing as Wells Fargo in an effort to get your SS or bank number.  They use several 515 numbrs an others.  My WF bank Googled the phone and showed me it's bad.

CALL THE "DO NOT CALL " AND THERE IS AN OPTION TO REPORT THIS AND IT WILL GO AWAY OR GO ON LINE AND BUY A    "DIGITONE 10 CALL BLOCKER" THAT BLOCKS UP TO 80 NUMBERS.  i HAVE ON AND I HAVE QUIET PEACE NOW.....

They left a message saying the call was for the executor of the estate of Marie Carpenter. I am not the executor of any estate. I have never heard of Marie Carpenter.

    lets close down wells fargo
oh, this is jenny - she sounds about 13.  I stopped doing business with wells fargo last year some time because they are just not a good bank at all. They of course have no clue how to run their business, nor acknowledge the fact that they no longer have me a customer.  After repeated attempts to correct their records, it became apparent to me, that I was doing their work for them - something I think happened to their database last october, when the problems with my account started to surface - there was a student loan showing up on my statement which was not mine, they acknowledged that but things got worse when they tried to fix this.  I since have stopped trying to help them.   They have sold my information to every credit card company and lending institution out there - that in itself should be a crime.  Shut them down, save them from themselves.

They've called me twice now and they hang up and don't leave a message. I am assuming they are trying to reach my ex husband. He's filed bankruptcy and of course the jerk never refinanced to remove my name from the house or HEL. It's been over five years and he still haunts me. They tried to get me to sign a paper saying I want paper statements on the HEL because its closed. I'm not signing anything. It's his problem not mine. They're a tricky bunch.
