this person is randomly texting me. trying to get friendly

On the 29th this # texted me, said her name was Mattie. Dont know a Mattie. Yellow book says its a Des Moines, Iowa #
Kinda freaked me out a little

Just texted me too...sounded as if they know me, but I don't know anyone in the Des Moines area

keep getting text messages from this number asking whats up and trying to be friendly.  When i first replied person said they were Mattie from iowa but going to school in Missouri.  Then tried asking who I am and my age and location and that they had friends going to school where I am. Then apologized for pushing wrong button and getting me.   Then every night have gotten a "hey whats happening/good _____ (insert time of day) message every night and following morning. The night ones came late so didn't reply before getting the one in morning and when i replied to remind person they previously misdialed they apologized and said once again they werre trying to reach their friend and had punched the wrong number again.  I ignore them and every night same thing all over again!

I have had the same person txt me a lot.  I asked them why do u keep txting random people.  "Mattie" said he/she doesn't no.  I was thinking this person just might be lonely and needed someone to talk to.

Same thing happened to me. this person is a freak.

I was told that I could check (sometimes) online and search numbers, and was really surprised about the actual same number!!! Yeah, same thing, she asked how I was doing? Called her number, went straight to voicemail, with someone named "Mattie"; Texted back who she was, and then her replying back with who am I, where I'm from. Asked her where she was from first, and she stated to be from Iowa, but was currently in San Diego "for work this summer." Plus she asked if I am sinigle and stuff. I dunno...

She called my fiance and harrassed him saying that we aren't good for each other and that I'm too young... She said her name was Steph though... This person is in my phone by the name of freak so I know who they are if they try anything again. I know one person from Iowa and she would never do anything like that...

Just got messaged.  she started with a "hey whats up," went to a "my mom called me a loser, "i'm having a bad nite" and ended with her texting "Ok  well have a good nite  bye" when I texted i had a girlfriend after she asked if i was single.  Lol.   Maybe a little desperate?

i received a text from this number today.  'whats up'.  I responded 'who wants to know'.  they responded 'me who r u'.  I quit corresponding at that point.  no harm, just annoying.
