I've previously posted to a number in Washington from the same guy, but this is the number he contacted me from. I offered an NMVTIS report which is the dealer version of those reports. He never replied so I did some looking. Who orders a vin report on a $750 car that in the craigslist ad I straight up said it had been wrecked. His email was sunsets@aol.com

This happened to me within the last 3 hrs as well.. some people. Always google the numbers and look up the websites before doing anything.

I got the same guy, same story only my car is worth much more. His email now is orderingdepo@aol.com. How do I handle this? Says he wants to come buy it tomorrow after he gets the report...

Asked where he was located...
"I am at work but if you get me that report I will come buy it tomorrow. Are you available?"
Then I sent... I can certainly have it available for you when you come look at the vehicle but I'm not going to provide that over email.
Haven't heard anything since.

Me, too.......I told him he can do it himself and I would not provide the report. He stopped texting. Total scammer!

Just did the same thing to me, stupid

Text asking for report on vehicle. Told him I wasn't paying for a report when I could tell him more about the vehicle. If he wants a report he could come look at the vehicle, get the vin and pay for his own report.

Same as some of the others found cheaper vincheck sent info  never heard another word beginning not to like Craigslist been burnt before

Same thing just about happened to me. Good thing I Googled the number first and read this. Sorry for everyone this happened but thank you for posting! Little does he know I will be down around the Ames around this weekend and I'll figure out a way to find him through this number.

I got the same texts yesterday.  I think this guy Ryan and/or the company vincheched.com trolls craigslist for cars for sale so the sellers will buy  their report.  I tried to call him but the voicemail box is full. I didn't see a phone number on the website either. Can't believe i fell for this.

I'm in Arizona with a car on Craigslist.

The person at this phone number contacted me and told me that he would buy my car "sight unseen" tomorrow - if I would go to his link at http://vinreported.com?1 and email the free vehicle history report to him at keen@aol.com.  I don't trust ANYONE who says they will spend thousands of dollars for something sight unseen!

Ryan is using "Keen@aol.com" now ... its a scam - from everything I read on here ... you can tell when they want to buy something sight unseen ...

That company needs to be reported to the BBB.  This person is relentless ... when you respond to him, he changes his name and his email address.  I'm going to report it now ... "vinreported.com"

I'm in burlington VT. He just did it to me and I gave him the vin number and told him to look it up himself. Does anyone think he can do anything with that info?
