These people or what ever keep calling my cell phone. I do not anwser for the area code and phone number is unknown to me. I have not gave out my cell number to anyone.

People who owe money will pick any phone number so they don't get bothered, but if it happens to be your number they picked, guess what? I don't understand why phone numbers are not verified by companies. If you call them back and tell them to quit calling they will put you on their no call list.

Getting the exact same calls, I answer and nothing. Today I answered and muted my side of the phone, and I heard someone say "Nope".

A 9.50/hr debt collection agent called. I asked to speak with their manager, who happened to be a SHELDON.  Their website http://www.cbegroup.com states to be treated ethically with respect and he is a cocky individual. When I learned he was not the manager, I complained that I do not talk with subordinates and that I must speak with his manager. Then he gave me their manager's name, CODY ENGEL. They called me and I have a similar name to the one of the person they are looking for, but they have the wrong person with similar name.
Know your rights:
If they call you, you are under NO obligation to VOLUNTEER information.
Furthermore, you CAN request they FAX you information to verify who they are.
If they do not, you can tell them you will file your FIRST complaint.
Call back the number that called you. If they still have you in their computer system, they did NOT remove your number. This can constitute a complaint and later a fine you can collect from.
Call 515-226-0218 and Chrissy Peterson will answer the call. Explain that their other office has not removed your number from their records, and that by speaking to her, this is the second complaint.
Wendy Harris or Kim Patrick are the higher ups in this company.

This number calls me everyday at least 3 times.  I answered it once and they asked me to verify my mailing address.  I told them that I am a victim of identify theft and that I could not and will not verify anything unless they could tell me what they were calling about.  They tell me that it is a personal matter and they cant tell me until I verify information.  I have told them twice to not to contact me anymore.  They say they will keep calling and they do. So tonight i call them back after them calling me 3 times today and explained to the lady again that I couldnt give her any information without knowing who they are and what they were calling for.  She said her name was Dion and she was calling from the CDE Group and that it was a personal matter to why she was calling.  She said she could not give me anymore information because of some law that she mentioned.  So I simply told her that I was instructed by tthe Attorney General not to verify or give myinformation out to NOONE. SHe then proceededing to ask me if #### were my last for numbers of my SSN. I said ma'am I'm not verifing anything.  I asked for an address so that I could send them a letter not to contact me anymore.  She said well we will just call you back some other time and she hung up.  I knwo that there are some debts that I do owe however if you cant tell me what you are calling for that throws a red flag to me that its not a debt that i owe or you arent who you say you are.  I am a victim of identity theft and i dont want to go through it again.  I had harrasing phone calls with threats on me and my family.  I had to get my police involved but that didnt really help.  I had to have my bank account change my phone numbers changed  those people even calle dmy work.  If you want to file a lawsuit please elt me know but please be aware that I  can not give out any person information to just anyone.  I am contact my cell phone carrier to have them block this number from calling me.

The CBE group is a collection company that is mainly employed by Verizon to collect past due and charged off accounts. They have offices in Iowa, Colorado and Pennsylvania.When they contacted me I explained to them that I was unemployed due to an auto accident. The gentleman that I was talking to called me a lier and that they would continue to call 3-4 times a day til I agreed to pay the amount due which happened to be $403 more then the original amount due to Verizon. When I explained to the gentleman that I am aware of the law and educated him that CBE only had the right to contact me 1 time a day if they talked to someone or left a message and I explained that my lawyer would be sending them a DO NOT CONTACT letter and the gentleman again told me I didn't know the law. Four days later I received a letter from my lawyer stating that he contacted them and that they were not to contact me but his office, I continued to get calls and now he is filing charges of harassment against them and the Better Business Bureau and the Fair Credit Collections Act.  They have a right to contact you but not harass you, you tell them to stop calling they have to.

now they using a different number from the last one I do not answer.We owe no one so they can just keep calling and the answering machine will do it job...they do not leave a message

had it with these people..called the 1-800 number talked to a nice guy in the complaint department who apologized and said they were looking for someone not living here.

These people keep calling my work-issued cell phone.  I called them back and let them know that I was not the person they were looking for.  They have continued and so I just called them back and told that c u next tuesday to go f$&* herself.  I have been on call for three days and am in no mood for this.

Marlene...hmmm, I think I just talked to you.  How about you just stop calling and harassing innocent people?  Why should I have to take the time to send you a certified letter?

I don't know who these a$$holes are, but they blow my phone up twice a day or more and I have a throw down that I'm using while I'm on holiday from overseas. It's the same bloody number and I would love to get my hands on the a$$hat making these calls, they're trying to burn up the minutes I've paid for.

I dont answer calls i have no idea who they r from and if you cannot leave a message and whats it about STOP CALLING Me!!! Plain and simple..

Got a call from them at 9 in the morning.  Called them back at two in the afternoon.  Company that called my cell phone was looking for someone else entirely.  Hopefully they do not call back.

I got a call from the today! When they asked I am "me" I said no - I just got this phone number and I don't know who that person is. They said ok we will take it out of our system. So, I will still go on  being 'ME" but they don't need to know!

I got several calls from this company. I have never had a Verizon account. They started calling me about a week ago on my land line. Thanks for the address I will send it to Lemberg and Associates so that can sue them and get me 1000 bucks. I need it for Christmas shopping. Thanks CBE what ever.
