called me

I use to receive calls from this number several times a day. If I answer the call I get a recording to please hold for an important message (my number, my minutes) this person should have his/her stuff together before calling me. If I return the call, the same results. Now, I just ignore the calls, and the calls have decreased dramatically!

I keep receiving calls from this number at odd hours.

CBE Group out of Des Moines, Iowa...collection agency

Just returned for military deployment 10 days ago and never recieved any bills to start getting calls from a Collection agency....I would answer and when the recorded message finished, someone would pick up the phone, not responed then hang up after about 5 sec
After calling back they tried to sell me on the benifit of paying them that the money goes directly to the company you may owe the money to.  But, forgot to tell you they added about $75 service fee.
Called the company I owed the money to (government) who informed me that withing the first 30 days I could still pay them and have it removed for my cerdit report.

called my cell phone, asked me to wait for a message from CBE.  They made me wait on hold for what turned out to be a wrong number.

This fool keeps calling me. I am tied of the disturbance. My phone rings constantly because of thei anoying fool.

It's CBE Group from an Ames Iowa number.  I have also got calls from them with a 319 area code (Western Iowa) and a 678 area code (Georgia).  They are bill collectors and very argumentative.  I told them I don't owe a debt and they just call me back later from a different call center.  It's annoying.

It's a call center, they don't have any info on you other than what appears on their screen after they get you hooked on the line.  Sometimes takes up to 30 seconds to connect the dialer to the college kid they have hired to handle these calls.  turn around in these places is 90 days or less.

I feel it should be considered harrassment and charges should be filed on them.

A young girl called from this phone number last night after 7:30PM ET.  She asked a lot of questions about banking.  My phone number is on the National DO NOT CALL list....

The company is CBE, a collection agency that believes that because They voluntarily chose to pay off a Debt from an account that I held, that I am now Legally Bound to pay them for their services. I am a Law Student, and it doesn't work that way. You MUST either sign a Contract with them or a Written or Verbal Agreement to be Legally Obligated to pay them. If not, from my Law Professor's View, by them paying off a Debt without your permission is no different than a Charitable Act. Unfortunately, I've tried to track them down to report them for Harassment and making Threats toward myself, but they have called from 4 different numbers & area codes and Aren't Located at Any Of Them. They are routing their calls thru "Local" call centers. In my opinion, what they're doing is no different than Extortion. I just wish that the people who actually Enforce the laws we have would see it.

This number keeps calling me and it's annoying. It got to the point  where I called and left a message saying "I'm 14 so stop calling me because its annoying and I'm tired of this thanks bye" hope tht works

Thanks guys. Your info has helped me to identify who this is. I think it is a machine that calls us and then it is sent to a calling center when they can get to it. Sometimes they don't and that is why the call gets dropped. That is my guess from all the info I have collected. They were out of Iowa. Or the call center was. I think they are associated with the government. Anyway if they infringe on my rights I will sue them. So far they have not, so I won't do anything. I owe the government, just don't have the money yet. Wish they would leave me alone, but that is how it goes when you get into debt with your enemies. Anyway I am going through a debt consolidation company first before these clowns. That way I have a third party to audit them and hold them legally responsible. I have been burned before and I won't again.

They call constantly. At least twice per day, usually more. Caller ID states that it's a company called CBE Group. Based on the things I've read on the internet about them, I refuse to answer the phone when they call. Still, I can't believe how often they call. Even early in the morning, waking us up before it's time. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Collection's / lickers of [***].Can be safely disregarded as harmless
