It was Verizon offering promotions, press 3 to be put on the do not call list.  Hope this helps the number generally is under telemarketing. 10/19/13

Called (11/20/13 15:14hrs). Never answer phone numbers I do not know. No message left on voice mail.

Verizon, call no message.  calls about 2x week lately.  

other person says to press 3 to be removed.  will do that next time.

Calls daily, leaves no message.
Call back = Verizon Inbound Sales Support Line

Verizon robo call.  i answered by mistake and now the line won't hang -up which means i don't have a dial tone. I've had to have Verizon come to my house to correct.  FRUSTRATING!

that's my strategy as well.   if we all ignore them they just must go out of business.  my message: "if i know you i'll call back asap.  if i don't know you we're wasting time."

I am on the DNC list.  Why is Verizon ignoring the list and calling me several times a day.  Or is this a telemarketing company pretending to be Verizon and get data on who is home when you enter your number on thr call?

I just called the phone number back and immediately entered 3, which someone posted would put you on the dnc list.  Once I did that a computer generated message came on and told me the number I was calling from and said that I would be put on the dnc list within thirty days...we'll see how that works.

called and got very arthritic housemate out of bed only to get to a dial tine. ny ? we are in va and have verizon so call should have cone from a local office IF LEGIT !

If you have Verizon phone or other service with them, you have a business relation with Verizon, which is a loophole in the Do Not Call rules.  The culprits who wrote that law are up for reelection in 2014.

I was sick and tired of getting this Call so I called Verizon and they do not no anyone owining this number working for them(tried 7 times

I recieved a call from 516-570-9227 and informed the lady i didnt want the call recorded and she said that would end the call so I did.. I wanted to know where the call came from and this number along with nassauzn01 ny was on the caller i.d.

I replied on 12/27/13 that I called and selected "3" to be put on dnc list, and would see how that works...it didn't.  They kept calling, so I did it again-now we'll see how that works.   Anyone know who we can report them(verizon) to?

Another helpful tip for those who already have Verizon Fios or phone service.  If you log into your account online, go to the > Call Features tab and then to > Incoming Call Block and you can add the phone number to those blocked from calling you. I called the number and put myself on the DNC list which I'm already on (they have a loophole for current customers) and covered all bases.

I am on the no-call list but get these irritating calls often...............
