This number called me and left no message but the caller id said Go Green.  

They claimed to be Go Green Solar.   I asked for their business address and the caller said he could not provide me with that information.  I asked where their offices were located and he said "California", but the ID says this area code is in New York.  I kept asking if they were a real company and he kept saying yes, but steadfastly refused to give me any information to verify that they were.  Eventually, when I started asking why, if they did not have a relationship with us, they felt that it was ok to ignore the national do not call list.   Eventually, sensing that he was getting nowhere, he got annoyed and hung up.

So, I went and found Go Green Solar (a real company), left a message with their customer service, and actually got a call back from them.  A very diplomatic gentleman answered my questions reasonably directly and has stated that Go Green Solar does not engage in direct calling of this kind.   He declared, out loud, and in English, that the people who are doing this are NOT them or their representatives.   I asked if GGS was aware of this, and he said that they were and were currently making an effort to track down the perpetrators, who were, unfortunately, "a moving target".  He also said that they did not get any actual business from these calls, instead, getting many calls from annoyed people like me.  He thanked me for my suggestion that they post this on their website, but I don't know if they will or not.
