Seems as though the scammers of Portfoliorecovery have a list of numerous phone numbers to pick from to randomly call people with. The numbers cover all states.

this number is a collection agency, they typically dont even leave a message and when you answer they hang up. very odd

Seems to be the ole portfolio recovery bunch.  They never give up even though any credit issues I have date back to 1998
and have since expired.  I am effectively "time barred" (USC 15, 1692c) and feel like sending a letter from my attorney.

these people seem to have my number and they call 3 or 4 times a week.  They do not leave a message .
I am on the do not call list and am tired of receiving this call and others.

We have received several calls from this firm and WHEN you can get to talk to someone, we have told them this it not our debt, they respond with "ok - we will remove this # from our list but then we get a call from a different #. We have a list by our phone for the #'s that come up on caller ID and this one was a new one!

portfolio recovery they have been trying to collect debts from me that are over 20 years old
