Been awhile since a number made it through my Telephone-Firewall. This one is the second one I have had this Spring. I have all but beaten the Telemarketers, and if you're interested how read on...

I have been fighting these Telemarketers, Scammers and Spammers for about a couple of years. You can benefit from my Research into the "Political Survery" Scam, the "Free Cruise" Scam, and the ever-annoying Shady "Home Security" -&- "Free Alarm For Your Home" Scammers by doing the following:


Get yourself a "Digitone Call Blocker". It plugs in between the *Wall Jack* (where your main line enters from outside your house) and ALL of your home phones that you might own.

Block "Out of Area", "Private", "Anonymous" and other OPX-Type-Calls.


And............. Blacklisting!! This is way Cool!!!

That is right, don't know anyone in this Area Code? Block the ENTIRE AREA CODE out. No more calls at 6:00am (OR 8:00PM!) to wake up your family. Blacklisted numbers never make it out this device, and onto your home phones (however many you may have).

Stores up to *80* Blacklisted Numbers, but as I said, you can conserve your Blacklist by Opting to Block on the entire Area Code!!


Blacklisting an ENTIRE Area Code *CAN BE DONE in MINUTES*, with no further programming EVER!!!

PS: Is Your Cellphone Getting Calls? *BOTH* AT&T and Verizon (if the Scammer is calling your Cellphone) have Call-Blocking Features. AT&T is the Best, as they allow you to store up to 30 "Blocked Callers". AT&T's Service is called "Smart Limits For Wireless" and makes a perfect Scam/Spam Firewall (I just wish it held more than thirty numbers!). At Stated elsewhere, Verizon has one but it does delete itself every couple of months.

Called 5 times between 7PM last night and 3AM this morning...including 2 calls at 2AM as well as the 3:07AM call!!!

...should have option to forward/route those calls to the owner of the company to wake them up at that hour in the morning...anyone know how to do that? ...or how to look up ownership of the number/company to report and take legal action?

Received several unwanted calls from Tel:  518-417-9314.  Caller I.D. shows:  "Wireless Caller".
Please put us on your "Do Not Call" list.

How can I stop getting calls from this phony number (518-417-9314).  I get them at least once a week.

"Paul from Medic Alert"  If you press 1 to accept your ''free medic alert" you're signing up for a subscription.  Careful...  This is particularly dangerous because it sounds like something you or your doctor may have ordered is ready for shipping and this is a confirmation.

I just hit the mute button and turn off my answering machine.that way, no calls disturb my sleep. My family and I have CB's and get hold of each other that way in event of an emergency during the night. Of course, we are 3 houses apart so we don't need the phones on.

This is just another number hat has been harassing me.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.  I tried Reverse Look up.  No help.
