yup, its global credit and collection, probably calling about your capital one account. I spoke with them last week, and was able to get a good deal to fix my debt! they're pretty helpful, just ask for them to freeze your interest in return for a payment plan, since they can usually do that for you. its gonna save me a lot of money :P

if you that much in debt probably better to pay lawyer 500 bucks and declare bankrupcy, clears the board, and you start with a clean slate.  it stays on your record for 6 years but if you behind payments where collection agency calling and harrasing you, your credit probably shot as is.  and you gonna be trying to dig yourself out of hole paying it back, and then repairing credit.  better just to find 500 and clear the board.  because they cant harrass you after and you just have to wait out the 6 years.

realistically if you doing payments and its difficult you gonna take at least 2 years to pay debt off anyways, and 2-4 years to repair credit.  this gives you 6 years of peace of mind.

its what they worried about you doing, declaring bankrupcy for 500 dollars and starting fresh.

banks get paid by insurance anyways so they dont take loss.  and if its a debt over 2 years over due or late they have filed a claim and recieved payment already for the money you owe, so they just looking for the bonus cash from you by getting collection agencies after you.
