Call from 518 621 1390.   No one spoke. Sept.25 ,1:13pm Eastern Time

I keep getting these calls and no one answers

they just called. I didn't answer. Caller ID says NYSTEC -- means nothing to me.

It was a pre-recorded message about selling something to senior citizens.  I just hung up because the call came in at dinner time.  

Just got a call from this number.  Pressed 1 and informed Marcia to take me off their list and that I was reporting them to the Federal and State "Do Not Call Lists".  Just tried calling that number back and it is "out of service".  That doesn't surprise me.  Company was listed as NYSTEC.  Looked them up and they seem legit.  I guess time will tell.  These calls need to be stopped as they are definitely out after seniors with a vengeance.

No message....just receiving calls from this number....a nuisance!!

Beginning on September 25, 2013 we began receiving complaints to a general NYSTEC email box regarding telemarketer calls that appear to have originated from the New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation (NYSTEC)  518-621-1390 according to Caller ID records.  Please be advised, these calls are not originating from NYSTEC.   NYSTEC does not sell any services or products via telemarketing.
If you have received a suspicious-seeming call from this number, please note:

•    The call DID NOT come from NYSTEC.  We have contacted our telephone provider and law enforcement officials to investigate further.  

o    We suspect that an organization or other persons are utilizing technology to “spoof” a NYSTEC number and is making these calls from another location.  Known as "spoofing," the calls appear on caller ID as from the number from NYSTEC. This can trick recipients into thinking they are legitimate calls.  At this time, the calls cannot be tracked to the actual source. We are continuing to investigate this matter with the utmost attention.

•    Anyone called by 518.621.1380 or any other number identified as NYSTEC, in which the caller asks for a donation, personal information, or credit card information, should end the call immediately .
o    If you provided personal information to the caller, such as: your Social Security Number, any bank account numbers, credit card numbers or passwords, we recommend that you contact your local police department and law enforcement officials immediately.  
o    You may also want to contact the three major credit bureaus and learn how to have a ‘watch’ put on your credit report for signs of any fraudulent activity.

For your convenience, we have included contact information for the three major credit reporting bureaus.

Left no message. Just another annoying scam.

Left no message. Caller ID the number

Call came in today marked NYSTEC.  Could be "New York State" something, but no message left.  If I don't recognize name and number, I dont pick up.  Sorry.  Mail me a letter!

I have caller ID. I will not answer my phone if I don't know who it is.  I also have an answering machine. The called didn't leave a message. They hung up when the naswering machine answered.
ID showed NYSTEC.  No idea who this is.  I assume it is a scam.

No name on caller ID, just the phone number. Don't know anyone with 518 area code so I didn't bother answering it.

I did call screening. I didn't answer. Caller hung up and didn't leave a message.

They called but don't speak. What gives?

This # calls but doesn't answer. Just hangs up. Very annoying.

telemarketer aimed at seniors.

Pain in the butt calls. Will tell you about Medical Alert!  Fishing for info tell them not interested, no seniors live here and simply hang up! Will call on several numbers!
