Received a call from this number today.  Phone shows "Test Code   NY"

i am on the do not call list why am i getting this call

Got a called from this number just a minute ago same thing Test Code NY - did not answer.  What the heck is that?

I am on the "do not call" list, to little effect.  At 13:43 on September 3, 2012, the caller from this number asked to speak to the "person in the household who handles the National Grid account."  When I asked just why he was so eager to speak to that person, the caller said his name was "John" and tried to launch into a spiel which I interrupted by saying I had no interest in his scam.  He was insisting there was no scam when I hung up on the SOB.

I keep recieving calls from 5189986554 and 9712179518 in the past I answered the phone and it was a man wanting to know if there were responsible adults at my number that would answer questions about my electric bill and he had a budget discount that could help me.. I said we weren't interested and I didn't recieve any notification from my utility service and hung up.. a week later.. same thing happened and my husband answered the phone this time and told him not interested. these 2 numbers call my home frequently and we don't answer the phone when we look at the caller ID. what's the sense of being on a no call list?? when we still get jokers like this calling...

I have realized that the "do not call" list is as worthless as the calls I keep getting.

I keep getting calls from this number. However, I will not answer since it is calling my cell and I don't want to waste my minutes.  I have both my cell and home #s on the do not call list,but since doing that I seem to get MORE calls from telemarketers instead of less of none.

I got the same call from the same number and no one was on the line

I am receiving frequent calls from this number; 3 to 4 a week.  There is never a reply to "Hello" and the call always ends shortly after I answer the telephone.

Actually, I got call identified as "Test Code NY" on Caller Id from 518-985-8623.  Looks like they've switched their number.
