THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS AND SHOULD BE REPORTED TO TELUS OR ROGERS

"Kenny here is that casual dating site i told you about at work, CDNcasual. com - much easier than Plenty of Fish, I got a lot of play last wekend ;)"

Yeah, I did as well.
I forwarded the number to Rogers' spam service (7726) (it spells out "spam").
Check with your carrier to do the same. We can get rid of spam together!

Telus got back to me, and that number is no longer owned by Telus. Apparently the subscriber transferred their number to whatever carrier they moved on to.

To be able to block unwanted SMS messages (and phone calls too).
iPhone users can install apps such as "Call Blocker" or "MCleaner" or "MobileGate"

There are similar apps available for Android and Blackberry, just do a bit of searching.

Perhaps this is a feature that we should insist as part of the basic service and be part of the device's OS to allow everyone the ability to filter unwanted SMS messages, iMessage, phone calls, etc...
