I got a call from this number, they left a message.  Asked me to call Rogers Customer Service.

Today @ work I received fax beeps from both #'s 519-570-9131 and 519-570-4223. with unknown caller.  Last year one of the #'s called again @ work and a real person was on the line.  When I refused to put them through to the IT dept, without knowing where she was calling from, she said Edmonton.  I said not the city, but what company and the woman became belligerent. I explained that any receptionist worth their salt is the frontline person and would not put through a call without knowing who they were putting through.  I also told her that I was hanging up.  She repeatedly called back using the 2nd #.  I repeatedly hung up on her under both #'s and eventually let it go to voicemail.  She made the mistake of leaving a nasty message trying to get me fired  (actual words were You need to put a muzzle on that secretary).  What she didn't know was that I own the company but happened by circumstance to answer the phonecall. At the time it happened I was able to track the # and it was registered to a telemarketer for Sprint.  I called Sprint and registered a formal complaint since I use Sprint @ my home.  Sprint was appalled and had full intentions of cancelling her contract.
My belief is that these #'s are both registered to the same person who is a professional marketer for Rogers, Sprint, collection agencies or whatever and the only way to stop her is to direct all of these companies that she is representing at any given point in time to the above complaints.

They then can not be traced

By pressing *57 [Call Trace] if you get the call traced by the poloice

Then pay Rogers, Bell, Sprint etc $5.00

It goee to the local Police Department

They can access the system and get the number

Then they can investigate

That is highway robbery

Received a call from this number mid-day today.  Unlike other callers, I did hear a person on the other end, but the connection was really bad and I had to ask them to speak up 4 times before I could hear who they were looking for.  I finally understood them to be asking for Mr or Mrs xxxx, which sounded like it might have been a mis-pronunciation of my easy-to-pronounce last name.  So, definitely a solicitor.  He finally hung up on me 'cause I asked where he was calling from.  I think this number is being used as a relay, whereby overseas call centres can route their calls through what appears to be a local number.

This number calls during the day eveing weekedns including sunday nights. It has called us in the past for the last year and a half. No talks or answers it hangs up if you pick-up. Usually only rings 3 times then stops. Must be an automated telemarketer computer dialed caller. If I find out who it is I will post it.

When I call home from my dorm room in Ottawa, 519-570-9131 is the number that registers on the caller id. It must be a number Rogers uses for long distance calls.

Been receiving no response calls from this number 2-3 times per day over the past week.

Got one this morning finally got a real person. Damian was doing Liberal campaign calling for the upcoming election, so this must be some kind of proxy number used by many call centers for the 519 area code. Asked to have my name and number removed from their list and the guy hung up on me.

i have receive calls from 519-570-9131 and 923007264906 and it sounds like the same person...but when i call back it says number is not in service.
I even received a text from this number asking what my name is and that his name is Yasir, from Pakistan...

Just a call from this number and I know it is from a payphone. Anyone know where it is located. Call but no one on the other end. Very annoying.

Area code 519 Exchange 570 according to the records that I see from the Canadian numbering admin (www.cnac.ca) is and exchange that is in service and located in Kitchener-Waterloo ON.

I get the same calls as everyone else.

The number is used by companies or people who use V.O.I.P. ( Voice over internet Protocol). Vonage, distributel, etc....

Some Voip long distance calls have to use a relay number designated by bell canada, for VOIP customers. Since telemarketer's preffer to use VOIP, due to cheap rates or free rates, that's why you see the 519-570-9191 or 519-570-4223.

These number's are Canadian Radio and Television Corporation designated number's to be able to use regular phone lines.

Trouble is you can't block the number because you may have relatives calling long distance and their company uses voip for long distance. So then you wouldn't be able to talk to relatives...

Well screwed if you do and screwed if you don't!!!
