This number just called tonight twice, asked for me.  I said I do not know you and stop calling repeatedly at night: sounded like an our source place.  Our number is unlisted and we are on the do not call registry.  These people need to stop.

This number has called me 2 nights (2x in 1 night). They asked for the youngest person but, must be at least 18. Strange...now I just don't answer, especially because they continue to call on my cell phone.

Called tonight at 6:30.  I didn't know the number and it is dinner time, so I didn't answer.  Waited for the machine to finish before hanging up.  Went to look up the number and found this site.

Called tonight around 9:30.  Asked for my husband by his legal name.  I said he's not here.  Wanted to know when a good time would be to reach him.  I asked if I could take a message, and the lady calling said she couldn't leave a message and he could not call her back.

I work for this company. We do political surveys and we just want to get your opinions. The best way to stop calls is to pick up the phone and ask to be taken off the list and we will gladly take you off. Because We are a polling firm the Do Not Call List does no apply to us so you have to ask to be put on our Do Not Call List. Calling the office will not help you. The only way to be taken off the list is that the caller that calls you takes your off the list.

We don't leave messages because callers can't take in-coming calls because we don't have phones. We have computers that dial not phones.  When somebody ask for me to leave a message I tell them that I'll just call them back some other time and wait and see if they object. If they don't then I put them for a call back for the next day and say good-bye or good-night.

The reason why we call so many times is because we don't have that many numbers. When someone doesn't pick up their phone we tell the computer that the person didn't pick up their phone and the computer calls back in about 30 mins or so or longer depending on how many numbers we have. That is why it's very important to answer the phone the second time we call or even the first time we call. We don't know that you're home. We assume you're out having a good time having fun, enjoying life so we try and catch you when you're home.

I try to always call the person by their first and last name. If I can't pronouce the last name them I just call them by their first name. I always try to be as respectable as possible because I want your input and the best way to get that is to be on your good side.

It's funny how you mention that. Through the years of I've been doing polls and telemarketing. Which are totally differant things. : )  people like you say get a real job or rael job as you put it. Well I got news for you sir or mam I got two jobs so what do you has to say about that ? But to help me out can you define what a real job is because sitting on my butt all day and getting paid to talk to great people like you works pretty well for me.

Heh. I've programmed my phone system to blacklist such calls. Once I've identified someone I don't want to talk to through caller id, I type the number into the system through the phone and then I never a ring from that number again.

Let's just say from that point on the obnoxious caller gets an immediate pickup and then receives a very interesting message played in their ear.

Not hard to do if you have a little computer savvy with Linux and are willing to run a server 24/7.

    Technology is great.
