I've been getting calls from this number at lease 3-4 times a day. It's a total crank call. They claim they're from Citi bank but I'm sure it's a total scam. Watch out!

Only way to stop these calls if you owe them money is to set up a payment plan or atleast tell them you are working on it and trying to get help - they will put the calls out for a week or so. If you can set up a payment plan - calls will cease immediately. No real way to stop it. If you owe them money - they are paid to call you daily and if you don't answer the first time they call they will continue all thru the day until someone does answer. Best bet answer it the first time they call. Chances are also that your acct might be set up on a auto-dialer - computer will call like every 2-3 hrs and drive you crazy all day.

It's not a scam.  It is Sears and if you owe them money you are stuck in the same boat as me. They will NOT stop. They are one of the most aggressive collection companies out there. They will call your work, your cell, your relatives and your neighbors to leave messages.

Calls several times a day-all week, 7 days, but never leaves message on answering machine. I don't know if there is some law or something but others like GE DO leave a message. It is very frustrating and annoying!
Does anyone know if debt collectors are required to leave a message AND if the are supposed to call Monday thru Friday and only from 8AM to 9PM? I can not seem to get clarification on this. Also, if it is a business is it not REQUIRED that their name show up on caller ID? Curious to know these answers. TIA

got a call from them and called back, it was Sears, they asked me my phone number and i gave it to them .. then they said you don't have an account here, so i said why do u have my number then, they said it must be someone else's number, then they asked me my name and said it was the only way they could stop the calls, i said i'm not giving my name up, she said its the only way , so i said so i can tell you any  name and the calls would stop, she said no i can stop it by just your number, good bye and have a nice day............ must be a scam

this call is connected with my sears card.  i too was very suspicious.  however when i spoke with a representative after calling the number on the back of my sears card they did verify that this number is associated with citibank, the collection department for sears.  i had given out my banking information to this person and he did not say the right bank associated with my bank's routing number during the verification process.  but the very nice woman i spoke with today said that this happens often because some banking information has not been updated in their system.  she also said that the people that this particular collections company deals with are clients who have accounts that are barely delinquent.  i don't normally comment on sites such as this, but felt compelled to do so to balance the scales.  these people have a job to do and we as consumers are responsible for paying our bills.  that is what drives this economy so pay up or shut up.  remember that this person on the other end of the line could be your relative.  that is not to say you should not question calls from unknown numbers and do your own investigation, but in the end if we don't pay our bills on time the calls are going to start.  there is no law that states these collections agencies have to show up on caller id.  if you think about it that would be stupid.  none of us would answer a call from a number that we knew was from a collections agency.  i think sears is a reputable company that has been around forever and a day.  the fact that they verified that this number is legitimate is enough for me and i hope is enough for anyone reading this post.  if you don't want to get these calls you can always call the number on the back of your card and pay your bill or go online and pay your bill or send a check in the mail and pay your bill.  i will get off my soap box now.
