Posing as IRS but fraudulent

Got a call from this number saying this is IRS office and I have some pending taxes since 2006 to the amount of $8500.
Person's name was Michael he spoke english with indian accent and threatened me with legal action, language was not pleasant and he hung  up.

My caller id showed name as Anderson

I got the call from this #530-377-6497, name Jennifer saying I have taxes issue ....

Called & said they were from IRS & there were discrepancies on our taxes. Indian accent but American name. This call said it was from Cottonwood, Ca. But we have received the same calls supposedly from Hemet, Ca. Threatened legal action. Definitely a scam.

Got this call at 5 am this morning. Indian accent guy claiming there was a problem with my taxes and I was to call the IRS and talk to a Michael Johnson or Jackson. When I told him it was 5 in the morning and he got me up he said that it was not 5 am it was 7 am and he knew my street address. When I asked for his supervisor or someone that spoke better English he hung up.

Recieved this call Sat morning at 7:30 in the morning. The guy on the other end told me he was from the IRS. I asked him for his credentials and he  gave me an employee number (48539) his english was and is terrible. I had to ask him several times for that specific information. He then directed me to call Michael Johnson at 1-530-377-6497 this is the same number that this other guy called me from. I call this number and Michael answers the phone, he tells me that my wife has some tax issues when I ask him from what year he gets agitated and threatened me with legal action and hangs up. I have caller ID usually if you get a call from the a government number the caller ID will recognize that and it will display as such. Also if you are delinquent or have a tax issue a certified letter or at the least a notice will be sent to your residence. Also these guys spoke terrible english even though they claimed to have american names.

Same thing happened to me just now. Indian person told me to call Michael Johnson with IRS. Called 3 times and spoke with 3 different people all claiming to be Michael Johnson. They asked me who my attorney was. When I told them that they weren't the IRS, they hung up.

Few minutes ago, I also just received the same phone call from someone with heavy indian accent claiiming is from IRS. But his English is so poor, I could not even understand himn when he left message in my answering machine yesterday.  Also told me to call 530-377-6497 to speak with michael Johnson.  I was told there were charges against me from IRS, but they don't send letters untill I call????? so very strange. Also phone call at 8 in the morning on Saturday from IRS????

same guy called us 7 times today!  Each time becoming more menacing, and at times cursing at us. He then left 2 voicemails. First stating that he contacted the police and they would soon be at my doorstep, the second time  he was whispering curses and threatening to hurt our family.

Started cursing and threatening when I wouldn't give him my info then asked if I had a lawyer I said I am a lawyer then told me he was calling the police have me jailed and my license revoked  I told him my husband was the police chief and I could dial the number for him and do a 3 way when I asked for his last name he spelled out F--K B---h really fast then hung up.

I got a call from 530 377 6497 claiming to be the irs. He had a  heavy Indian accent wanting tax info and he.said his name was Robert Gill.  I knew it was a big spam because the IRS will not call, especially on Sunday morning!!! If the IRS had an issue they will communicate via regular or registered mail.

I also got a call from that number saying it was the IRS and that  I owed them 2500.00 and that if I didn't pay I would be arrested and put in jail for a year.It was a Indian man claiming to be Michael Johnson. If you owe the IRS money they will first send you a letter before any action is taken....These Idiots are scammers and should be thrown in jail!

Yeah complete scam... I have been returning some of their own medicine... I keep redialing and calling them back on their phone asking if this was their day job and if this is how they make their parents proud...they ( or should I say he ( "Michael Johnson")) is getting annoyed by me all the time....apparently all the time he wastes speaking to me interferes with his ability to scam others...go figure...LOL ;-)

Complete scam, I think it's time to take these [***] down.  Can anybody associate a street address with 530-377-6497?  

Received a call around 8:30 am and the guy said he was from the IRS and that my husband owes taxes. I said, "From what?" The caller said, "Call 530-377-6497 ask for Michael he will tell you." I called and the same guy answered and I gave him my name and he said I owe $21,599.00 taxes from 2008 till 2013. What the hell! Complete scam. Caller got mad at me when I was asking him questions, called me a [***] and f/u and hung up.

Received similar call as others have described here and, so, have reported this to DoNotCall.gov today--
"In voicemail, claims to be IRS or calling for IRS debt.  Barely comprehensible Indian accent, only comprehended on second close listen.  Similar fraudulent calls made to others, as shown by a search of the caller's  phone number on the web at  whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/5303776497.   Needs to be stopped and prosecuted."

Who here has made a major purchase within the last couple of weeks?  I just got a call as well. saying we owe $6500 in taxes and they would take my husband to jail and freeze my bank accounts if I don't come up with the money.  SCAM  

Called twice- very confusing middle eastern sounding voice, says his name is Micheal Johnson,  sayes IRS problems. Called on a Sunday Morning and also EARLY on a Saturday morning, Hung up on him he called back 6 time in one 5 minute period and woke up entire Family.  MONTGOYCRK , CA showup on Caller ID.
