This number is part of a phone scam. Robo-call using the name "Steve Martin" claiming to be calling re: an enforcement action by the US Treasury and threatening prosecution for "criminal acts" if call is not returned. I received two calls within two hours. this morning from this same number.

Received same call twice today on my answering machine. It's impersonating U.S. Treasury and IRS. Sounds like Indian or Pakistani accent. Government agency does not call its citizen for an enforcement action.

Got two voice mails from this threatening legal action. My wife, an attorney, just laughs and said no one does any business via phone like this.  All via certified mail.

I got the robo call and called back. The Indian accented man answered. He was threatening. Us dept if treasury and I had a warrant for my arrest. They were coming to my house to pick me up in 45 minutes. I would be taken to jail, for a year and no bail. I'd be taken to court and grand jury. I asked how much I owed and he said 5267$. I laughed. He said you don't seem to understand how serious the situation is.... I said I did, and hung up. I called my CPA, who checked on line and found all the responses. Thank you for posting!!!!! He said they go by mail, certified, as I thought and had asked about.
    Good luck and stay safe!

This guy with an Indian accent and this phone number just tried to robo call me twice while I was on the phone. It says 'Oroville" CA and I'm in CT. Didn't pick up call, but decided to call number back and ask to be taken off a calling list. They are required by law to not call back once you say you want off a phone list. I was very pleasant, he said, "Sure ma'm, do you know you are going to be arrested in 45 minutes?" Very scary scammers, I feel sorry for any old, vulnerable people who are gullible to these cons . Terrible terrible people.

I received the same call and I did call back and spoke to "Michael Johnson" who had a major accent so right there that told me there was something wrong.  He told me there was a warrant out for my arrest because of taxes that were mis-filed in 2009.  I asked him why I didn't receive anything from the IRS and he said I did but ignored it. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen.   I told him I would take it up with my accountant and hung up.  I can't believe the nerve they have to think someone would fall for that.  They do need to be stopped because I am sure that someone who files their own taxes will probably think the is legit and send in money to these scammers.

I just received the same call, too.  Nonsense.  I also feel sorry for those vulnerable elderly folks who might be inclined to send money.

Same here. Call came from Oroville, CA, two different phone numbers, 530 532 2612/1945. Called the Police Dept. in Oroville, nonemergency number, and reported the harassment. Policeman on the phone was very kind, and started to check on the numbers. May or may not be able to do much about it, but still. Also reported the scam to Federal Communication Commission online.
