Wanted to talk with the owner or manager.  Wanted to help with Tax issues

called about a tax lien on our company.  no such lien exists.  i believe calling from oregon to georgia about a tax lien says it all.  how hard pressed are they for local tax work.

Caller wanted to speak to a owner. When I said they are not available , he said shush your mouth and listen to me.

Caller leaves repeated vague messages on my work number about reviewing "my tax file" and about having "good news and bad news".

My company has no relationship with Fortress Financial, nor do I.  He has my direct office number and is calling me by name.

I will not return calls like this.

A follow up to the July 7 message.  I inadvertently answered this number this afternoon.    The guy claimed to be an expert on resolving tax liens that have purportedly been levied on one of our subsidiaries.

When I said that we already have tax advisors,  "John" got verbally abusive and was a real ass.  I just hung up on him straight away.

These folks are a joke........don't answer this number.

Saw the caller ID and told them in Spanish that "I don't speak English, they must have wrong number."

Caller ID only shows their phone number 541-330-0640 and they ask for me by name. When you ask if this is a marketing call they flat out LIE and say no, it is the IRS about a tax lien.

Said they are from or looking for G R enterprises...wanted to talk to the owner...whatever...scammer

Called asking for the boss by name about tax issue.  When asked who was calling and caller gave her name as Edie Garnett from a company named Fortress. Put her on hold to see if office manager wanted to deal with them.  Ms. Garnett hung up before anyone could try to pick up the line.  

*BBB report gives them high grade (A). Strange that all complaints BBB has on them were addressed/resolved, but customer refused to acknowledge the resolution.  Seems pretty one-sided.

these guys are the worst of the worst.  i work for fortress.  do not use our service.  all we want to do is rip people off.  the only reason i work here is that i am desperate for money.  they even screw their employees!

This number is owned by Fortress Financial, Bend, OR.  I decided to research all of these types of companies.  Names, addresses, google research, BBB research, and in some cases supreme court research.  Thousands of people hire these companies every month.  I tried to be as impartial as I could, “just the facts.”  Some of these companies have multiple locations, and some of them have multiple names in the same location.  14 Linked reviews for all the companies are at the bottom of the article.

This is fortress financial. We had a tax lien filed some time ago for paying our employment taxes late, which is completely resolved. We started getting calls from "tax consultants" the day the lien was filed. Fortress is the only one still calling. the first company that called  was extremely aggressive. I did a web search and found a site dedicated to listing the criminal records of "tax consultants". Incredible.

A "SAM" called from this number? Funny that they want/or seek for your help and they are rude.

Have continually received calls from these BRAINIACS regarding tax liens. Problem is that they need to do some DUE DILIGENCE, much like to IRS and their flunkies and they will find that their information isn't always correct. IRS levied liens on zero balance accounts!!! MORONS!!! Fortress Financial: These people think that you should pay them $10,000.00 to resolve a $1250.00 (incorrect) balance. DUH???!!!

Don't waste your time with these folks. Most taxpayers can resolve their issues by researching the internet. Make their day ask for a copy of the "ACCOUNT TRANSACTION HISTORY and TRANSCRIPT" for either your EIN or SSAN and for the period(s) in question. The IRS hates this when you do that. But don't stop. Send them letters until the cows come home (Certified Mail/Return Receipt Only). They are required to respond within 30 days of receipt of your letter(s). If the amount is entirely incorrect, file for an ABATEMENT of the entire amount owed or a portion thereof.

I have been called three times in two days with different phone numbers about a nonexistent tax lien. last week someone impersonated IRS and said I would be arrested in 45 minutes. This is insanity.

Asked for the owner. Became abusive when told he wasn't in. These are just plain bad people.
