this man with an indian accent keeps calling me saying that I am being sued for the misuse of my own ss#. He would claim that he is a state investagater. He is very rude!!! I never give him a chance to say anything because I aske him the whole time who is the company he is representing? He never would tell me anything so I don't tell him anything. Then he stated to call my job unaware that the line of work that i do is high level confadentualilty. My reseptionist told me that he was asking her for my personal information but she woud not giveit to him.
That same night I filed a complaint with the ftc and the attorny generals regenal office and called him back to tell him so. I just don't by it.

That's right! That is the same name he would give me Shawn williams. I find it hard to believe that an indian male would even have the sr name of williams. I would believe it from a female because she could marry into that name, but that is not very likely for a man to do that.

First make a report to the ftc fedreal trades comitions and the file a complaint with them either on line at www.ftc.gov and then make a complaint with your attorny generals office.

    mad as hell in l.a.
too have gotten calls from this number. I pleased them on my call reject list on my cell phone. this man with an indian accent has alot of compliants. i've noticed out of all the numbers i've research and found to have been made from fraudent companies there is bound to be at lest one indian male with a british sr name. to me he sounds like all the other indian male callers from anywere from advance cash with american legal services (fraudulant names they are not affiliatated with advance cash-and what american legal service????), to state investagater (but he will not give you what state and for what company he is representing), to strait out you owe use money and if we don't get $250.00 in two hours the police will be there to arrest you. Well with that last one i told him tht how long will they take to get here because i'll be waiting for them outside. Oh yah, almost forgot to tell you another thing he will use is that he is a lawyer and is filling a law suite against you for fradulant use of your own ss# and tries to gett your info. If they can't get it from you , they'll call your job and beginn toask for your personal info from them. fourtunatly, the line of work that I do is highly confadentual and no one can even say who is here or not, let alone any personal info. Just thought I give you heads up on this guy. Once again he sounds the same with no veration in his actual voice or indian accent. He will change his name and business name, but he will always use a british sr name. Yah that's not going to happen for a male of his indian background to take the sr name of his wife, and I doubt verymuch that his father is an english man. lol!!!!!!!!  I like to piss him off because it is easy to do. just simply keep asking him what the name of his company is and ask him to speak clearly because you don't understand. That really gets under his skin to the point that he will start acting unbecoming of a telamarkter. Have fun and I hope this info helps you.

Don't put up with any crap from them. They are running an international fraud, identity theft and extortion ring.

Here's what you do: call them back at that number - OVER and over again! Block your number, then call them up and curse them out, insult their ancestors, mothers, and do anything else that will get under their skin. And then rinse and repeat.....and repeat........and repeat........and show no mercy.

I had one of them practically crying for me to stop calling, but did I stop? No way! And I won't stop until they stop harassing me and my fellow citizens, and not one moment before.

Not only will you feel better, but think: if they are getting thousands of calls like that daily, think of how it would affect their little criminal enterprise.

Now, my brothers and sisters, into battle against the babblers!

    Frustrated replies to dedra wilson
I had the same phone call with all the same experiences but this man had my ss my email my address and my moms name.  Again he never said the name of the company and when I called back it was a answering machine with no business name and I couldn't leave a message because it was full.  What are my rights? And how do I get this man to stop calling me.  Now I'm really upset because he has my social.
Where dod I report him and how do I protect my ss now.  Please help.  He is very rude and extremely hard to understand. He threatened to take me to jail and have me arrested. Totally violated Fair Debt Collection Practice Act.

Today 1/26/2011 I had gotten a call from them claiming to be American Union Services, first he told me his name was Calvin Scott ( Great Movie Tie in there The Santa Clause ). He then informed me I was going to jail soon, and that the police will soon be at my door, and that the lawsuit was from Fraud on a Payday Loan, Next he asked me what I intend to do about this loan, I pretended to be all shocked and amazed, and said what should I do!!! Or Dear me I don't wanna go to jail!!! he said if I pay $936.00 dollars to someone this would all magically disappear!! So to end the call I informed him I was recording our convo, and that I would send a copy to the Local Police, and FBI, he then proceeded to cuss me out, and told me Good Luck with God...

Allow me to tell you this, if people call you and cannot provide you with a BAR number, they are not really suing you, this company maybe real, but they are not the ones calling you it a group from India looking to make a quick buck with fears of going to jail, or worse.

To have the calls end tell them you are recording it for your records, and that you will play it for your own Attorney.

Received a voicemail from Eric Watson, could not understand number to call back whole voicemail was pretty rough. Then this person proceeded to call 2 of my co-workers asking about me. Called back the number of 5593990358,was transferred to someone named David Jones who claimed to be with some law firm who got on the phone and started harassing me. I kept interruptting him and making him angry. He threatened me with being arrested, jail, etc. Told me to call my attorney, which I don't have and he told me to get one. I told him that I didn't need one and to stop harassing me. He got so mad he hung up on me. Really not happy with the call to me or to my co-workers. I have filed a complaint with the FTC. Hopefully these people can be stopped.

I have been receiving calls from this fraud group for quite some time. I HAD TO CHANGE MY NUMBER AT WORK!  Every time they call they leave a VM. They state my name and that they need me to not ignore this message.  The callers have identified themselves as debt counselors or law enforcement officers.  Most all of their VM’s are unintelligible as their HEAVY and THICK Indian accents seem to prohibit them from speaking clearly.  Each call is basically the same with minor variations… you owe money… you co-signed and the other defaulted… someone committed fraud in your name… we want to help you… we will sue you… the police are going to be sent to arrest you… and on and on.  When I first began researching these calls I found dozens upon dozens of similar complaints.  Each time the same person(s) call from one number for a week or so and then the number changes.  THIS IS FRAUD AND A SCAM. BEWAR

I've received many calls both on my cell and at work from these guys, all with the same script, all with various American type names like John Smith but with middle eastern accents.  The numbers they called me from were as follows:

    559-399-0358
    253-753-2060
    239-129-9247
    890-226-6909
    760-262-0980

I had quite a blast messing around with them once I programmed them into my cell phone.  They would call and I would say something like "Central FBI office" or "Please hold, your call is being traced as it's suspected in fraud.  Please wait while we trace your IP number.  We'd like to speak to the owner of your company." They would immediately hang up.

Because I have unlimited minutes on my cell, I've also called them back repeatedly (as much as 20 times in a row) and every time they have answered I've asked them if they "like how it feels" to have a person repeatedly call them and I also let them know that I know they are fraudsters.  I also interrupt them constantly which annoys them, especially because I am a woman and I know in many of those cultures women are not allowed to have a voice.  I hurl extremely prejudice statements at them calling them terrorists etc. just to piss em off. LOL!  It's worked because I think they've blocked my cell from all the numbers I have put above as I can't get through when I call anymore.  When I am bored I call day and night so if they are sleeping it wakes em up lol!

They keep coming up with new numbers mostly on Google Voice from what I've read on other website posts.

Basically if you applied for a payday loan by using a search website like Money Mutual or something similar, your info is fed out to multiple companies by Money Mutual (or whatever website you logged on to).  These scammers have set up a fake financial company which receives your info.  They call you asking you to log into their website using your social as your password or username.  Once you enter it the page goes blank and you get no further with the application for that particular company.  You close it down thinking "oh well....computer error".  But it's actually the way for them to get your precious details.  They then wait a few weeks (when most likely you've gotten a payday loan form somewhere) and try to fish info out of you like confirming your social, your address, your bank account routing and account numbers etc.  They cannot take money out of your account without your permission so don't give them any details.

First thing to do when anyone calls is to ask them who they are, where they are calling from, their phone number and tell them you will call them back after researching their info.  They will try to avoid answering any questions and try to speak to you sternly to scare you.  Just tell them you will call back and hang up.  Research their number via google and I can bet my bottom dollar you will not be able to find them.

I say find your own way to torment them also.  Can you imagine if everyone they called on a cell with unlimited minutes or maybe someone with Google voice calls them back all the time and keeps hanging up on them.  It's funny although not a big help.
