Why do they call and leave no message at 8pm

This call came in on my cell today, January 2, at 12:00 noon. I didn't hear it ring and didn't answer.

call came at 1/4/11 @ 8:56am EST.  tried to answer, but registered as a missed call.

Got a missed call from this number on my cellphone.  I did not recognize the number so I did not answer the phone, they did not leave a message.  I did a reverse search on whitepages.com and it came up as an unpublished number.  I'm sure it is a telemarketer of some sort.

Received call from this number on my cell phone.  All I heard was three beeps, then it hung up.

Got a call from this number at 6:45 PM. went to VM with no msg. looked up it and found this blog about it. no voice mail was left for me. It is a CA number.

One ring and gone.  Only got the number in the CID of my cell.  No message left.

i got a call just know too and it was only one ring and straight to miss call. i search the number and it a Landline number from Tulare, CA. But other than that i have no idea who its registered.

I got a missed call...who the...is it? it's annoying but it left a weird breathing message and it kinda freaked me out...

Phone rang & didn't hear it while shopping.  But when I got out of the store heard my alert that I have a missed call.  No voicemail- this is very unusual

got a call from this number at ~7pm, my phone was on silent so i didn't pick it up and they didn't leave a voicemail. went home and found this blog.

Just got a call from this number in Tulare, CA. No voicemail, possibly a robocaller?

Just called this number back and its for some Hey cosmo or some subscription service like that.

This number is a prank call service. if you answer it will be a prank call from of of your "friends". listened to the message when called back. sounds like a scam to me
